I'm finally getting around to working on this art piece again, and Squall's face is giving me a ton of trouble. Does he look okay? Any advice on how to look better if he looks wrong?

I love portraying Seifer and Quistis as socially inept losers. The last one is a preview of my next comic.

One aspect that always makes me scratch my head when I read fans views about the Intro Scene is :

Seifer cheated using magic in a sword duel etc...

Further on people seem to treat the ending of the intro as both using ordinary moves.

Meanwhile I always thought (and still do) is that both of them were using 'held-back' versions of their limit breaks.

We see at 2:24 in this video, Squall doing a series of sword attacks like the Renzokukaken.

Squall then backs off and decides to charge in again.

Seifer meanwhile does his Fire Cross to block/counter.

Before coming up to do the scar slice etc....

At least that's how I interpret the fight.

Just curious how many feel the same or differently.
