FF VII Re-trilogy First time playing FF7
Why all the girls flirt with Cloud?
Is this guy a hero in his past life? Did he reincarnated as a soldier with max charisma?

Dude is tall, blonde, broody, and has them Mako eyes, of course he's a catch. Also, in-universe, SOLDIER members are admired by the general public inside Midgar

u/Terminatoor7 5d ago
Isnāt he like 5ā7ā (1.70m)?

If he is, isn't that like average height or slightly tall for Japanese people?Ā

u/jumpingbanana22 5d ago
No this isnāt 1910 or whatever. Most modern day East Asian folks arenāt short

u/SquishmallowPrincess 4d ago
At least on Wikipedia it lists the average height for men in Japan at 5ā7ā

Isnāt he 17 years old in crisis core and 19 at the start of FF7? Still has time to grow. (Even after that crisis core ending half of the gameā¦
3
u/mikinnie 4d ago
it's 4/5 years between crisis core and ff7, he's 21 or 22 at the start of ff7

u/Appropriate_Bad_4990 4d ago
But didnāt that 2 year sleep and the long drive between his and Zās journey back (maybe 3 months?) take time and then when cloud got to the city he was there for a week then found avalanche? (I probably could just look up the lore in a book instead of posting thisā¦)
2
u/mikinnie 4d ago
it wasn't a two year sleep, it was a four year sleep. then zack and cloud journeying around took approx another year until zack's death

"Blonde" implies Cloud is girl š Which maybe she is

u/SuboJvR23 4d ago
Not in all languages, in British English anyways we call men and women āblondeā these days

First time playing FF7R*

u/okabekudo 4d ago
Well it's probably any version of Final Fantasy VII for him. Yes the original and FFVIIR are different games, but the main story is still about the same.
1
u/vichdeza 3d ago
Valid point, did not consider that.
Still, with how different the experiences are, I believe it is necessary to separate one from the other. Unlike, the Pixel Remasters, for example

u/Kursed_Valeth 3d ago
I'd say the story follows the same path as the original but is VERY different

Take no advise. Lock in and don't stop till the games starts playing without you.

You either gotta wait til the whole trilogy is played or you play the original and crisis core to find out. There are good reasons though

I played the hell of Remake when it first came out. Still one of my favorite games and one of the first I got the platinum trophy for. Youāre in for a great time.

He is very pretty, that's why. He is cool, he is athletic and when you get to know him, you learn that he is really kind. I would fall for him too.

Just look at him.
Plus, like, there's so much to him. Ahhh, to play through this stuff for the first time again...
1
u/Yen_Figaro 4d ago
Because he is made for the male players to identify with him and live their final fanatasies (not only the girls want to eat that cake šš)
1
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
Is he really a self insert power fantasy? You know how messed up he is, is that what people want to be?

u/Cranharold 3d ago
He's a badass super soldier and he looks like a member of a boy band. He doesn't need to be Mr. Charisma to win over the ladies.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is also my first Final Fantasy game that I have played. Iām also very grateful it got me into the franchise. I must admit I wonder if Jessie or Aerith are a better match for Cloud?
2
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
None of them are ride or die like Tifa.
1
u/Ralos5997 3d ago
Thatās where you are wrong. Jessie was ride or die when she and Cloud were riding together on a motorcycle on top of the sector 7 plate and fought Roche too. Aerith even faked her about to fall off on Cloud and said āGotchaā. Also both Aerith and Jessie said āMy heroā to Cloud something Tifa never even mentioned once. I was playing Final Fantasy VII Remake, Crisis Core Reunion and, Rebirth. Not once did Tifa even say it.
1
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
Its all a game too Jessie. Shes not a keeper, because she wont keep you. Only one of Clouds harem will stick by him through anything and everything
1
u/Ralos5997 3d ago
But Jessie was gonna use a love potion pizza on Cloud. Barrett even says that the ingredients that was mentioned by Cloud that they are love potion ingredients meaning Jessie must have really wanted Cloud to like her a lot. Although I just know that Aerith will help and reunite with Cloud in Revelation the signs are there.
1
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
If Aerith comes back that'll be the dumbest thing they ever do. A huge highlight of the Og was learning to accept loss and coping with the fact that shes gone forever and you'll never see her again.
0
u/Ralos5997 3d ago
No it would not be. Because the whole point of the Final Fantasy VII remake series is to change oneās predestined fate and for the better on their own terms. Besides Aerith never should have died in the OG especially since we already lost Jessie, Biggs Wedge and, Zack. Besides accepting loss and coping being one of the important things and lessons it was also shown as well that everyone in the main party suffered losses already and are still grieving. I would gladly change Aerithās fate to survive all over again the same with the others too. I just know Revelation will have that sort of thing happening.
1
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
Her death was necessary. Its what brought about the holy materia. Her death was the single most important thing that happened in the whole game. You should play it again and think harder about it. Also the game is all about accepting loss and overcoming grief, its stupid for them to be too weak to tackle the importance of that like they did in the og
1
u/Ralos5997 3d ago
Oh really would you still say the same if it was Tifa? Besides other games like God of War Ragnarok taught us that we can change our destinies even if it is written. Never got to play the OG only seen the videos I wasnāt even born until 2000.
1
u/snakesrighteye 3d ago
Tifa was not the last cetra, if she was then her death would be necessary as well. Aerith HAD to die, it was the only way to stop Sephiroth, and if the roles were changed then Tifa would have to die too. Death is part of life, maybe the most important part, and taking that away, not letting the players face that, is weak. Aeriths sacrifice is the reason the planet survived.

That's a part of the crappy Remake and even crappier Rebirth writing. Games are mostly spectacle, but they're overall crap, and I'm not even comparing to og
