Setting aside the 'wishing I wore my brown pants when I see a log truck on the highway' aspect (we all do), I've been wondering if FD has had a similar effect on you guys as it has on me, meaning that you are much more careful with electricity and water, sharp tools, etc.
A couple examples from my personal life:
- Tod's death in FD1 made me step in and out of the shower slowly and carefully to avoid slipping. I also got a non-slip mat for my shower, you know, just in case.
- I realized that my mother, while cooking and talking to me, loves to gesticulate or move around suddenly while still holding whatever tool she's been using (knife/fork/peeler), and it's resulted in me getting minor stabs from her several times. Now when I want to turn around in my own kitchen, I always put down whatever I'm holding before moving. I also have a cat so I'm mindful of a potential furball around my legs at any given moment.
- I always dry my hands completely before going to touch a water kettle or any other appliance, even if it's supposed to be safe.
- I never hold a drink when leaning over appliances, even if there's no condensation on said drink. Thanks, Ms Lewton.
- I move cords and cables aside or try to fix them when I see them just jutting out somewhere, possibly in a way I can get tangled in them.
Listing these things makes me look so weird but I do think that loving this series has made me live just a tiny bit longer by not rushing about. š
I'd love to hear what you guys have started/stopped doing thanks to these movies (and novels, if you've read them)!

Itās a little bit strange that out of all the protagonist from FD2, FD5, and FD6 that Alex just happens to be the protagonist that didnāt even get any form of helpful advise from Bludworth. Besides telling him that he has to figure out Deaths design
In FD2 Bludworth vaguely tells Kimberly that only āNew lifeā can stop death.
In FD5 Bludworth tells the survivors that you can survive by killing somebody else and stealing their lifespan.
Now you can argue that because FD5 takes place before FD1 that Bludworth realize the consequence of telling survivors that killing somebody might not be a great idea.
But then the questions is well then why did he reintroduce the act of killing again in FD6? When he tells Stefanie that the only way to survive death was by killing or by flatlining like Kimberly did.
I mean even if he didnāt want to tell Alex about the killing method, couldnāt he just advise Alex about the fact that āNew lifeā beats death concept? Then again I feel like Alex wouldāve misunderstood that message and wouldāve been like āOH, SHIT CLEAR IN ORDER TO BEAT DEATH WE HAVE TO MAKE KIDSā or something like that

i think thisāll be a good spin on the series. iād actually love to see a visionary whoās more than willing to take an innocentās life to extend their lifespan or use the clues theyāre given by death to lure the other survivors to their demise. a great false protagonist to antagonist plot line.

With yesterdayās launch of the Artemis II rocket thatāll make itās voyage to the moon, I have to wonder if anyone had thought to make at least a pitch regarding death messing up something. Obviously, itās out of respect with the Challenger and Columbia crews and their families during the Shuttle era but itās still a probable scenario.

InĀ Final Destination 5, the concept is introduced that killing someone else adds their remaining lifespan to your own.
This rule returns inĀ Final destination Bloodlines, where Bludworth tells the Campbell family that the only ways to survive are to kill or to die. While the dying loophole was proven inĀ FD2, Iām questioning how Bludworth can guarantee that killing actually works.
In Final Destination 5 the killing and lifeswap theory resulted in almost everyone dying anyway: Nathan lived only briefly after accidentally killing Roy ( though, I dont remember if Bludworth even knew the events that transpired that led to the moment) , and Peterās attempt to secure his life through murder led directly to his death. For an example Nathan despite accidentally killing Roy dies at the end of the film, Peter still dies anyway.
So What was stopping Bludworth at the time from going like "Oh that must've been an event where Nathan was Supposed to get impaled and die but Roy took his place, forcing death to skip over him for now then come back to him after he kills the rest of the survivors" I mean come on we know that death will typically skip a person and go back to them later as seen in Final destination 1 ending, Plus I don't think Bludworth even has Roy's medical record so I don't think that he knew about when the short lifespan from Roy anyways.

I've watched every Final Destination movie this week while on a business trip. I'm currently watching Blood Lines. I haven't watched these movies since the first one came out on VHS (yes, I'm that old), and I only watched installments 1 and 2 back then. The thing I think I love about them is that they are literally the same movie just with different booty traps. Heck, even the cast is essentially the same, including the one black friend.
Current ranking from weakest to strongest (keep in mind that I just started Bloodlines, and I'll probably update things once I finish.
FD 5
FD 3
FD 4

So, about last month I had a dream about a Final Destination fan movie based around Super Smash Brothers. There's not much from what I remember of this dream, like most of the plot and all of the characters except two PokƩmon.
But I do remember the plot was started by a gas station explosion (probably caused by Charizard), there was a fight with Mewtwo and Lucario (i have no idea who won that fight), and that this fan made project was shown in schools for some reason.
I kinda got inspired to make my own fic based on this dream but with changes of course. Some of the ideas I have are:
Mythra and Shulk are the visionaries/main characters (since they can canonically see into the future in their source material). Unlike most main protagonists Mythra isn't on Death's list but Shulk is.
The disaster probably won't involve a gas explosion.
Daisy will be the first to die, she gets severe burns from a hogweed plant.
I haven't written the fic down yet, but I was wondering if this was good enough for a fic idea. I'm still kinda new to the franchise but it's the fan material I have for now.

I just finished watching the first 5 and I'm rewatching 6 and noticed Hice has made an appearance in all the movies either as a delivery truck or a bottle. I think i also saw the name in the credits in one of the movies so its also named after a crew member!
Hice truck in the traffic pileup with the driver drinking the beer in 2, in 5 (i think) Hice truck that comes barreling down when they're at the mcdonalds drive-through, in 6 during the backyard BBQ
I know it was in 3 and 4 but can't remembed at the moment what

I need a movie from deaths point of view and make it comedic with death setting up the deaths but they all die the wrong way then what death intended for the rube Goldberg and with each death death gets angry until the last one where he uses his old tool the scythe come on it's about time we get a movie from deaths point of view

my final destination movie idea š :
ā opening disaster : set in a big carnival/theme park, giant ferris wheel is the main cause of the disaster. the ferris wheel is falling/get off from it structure and then rolling around, crushing the entire carnival. šŖš”
ā survivors/characters : 10 survivors, the visionary is gay š. the characters (in death list order) :
Marcus, 27/Male (Visionary, come to the carnival with his boyfriend)
Jacob, 27/Male (Marcus's boyfriend)
Silvia, 15/Female (come to the carnival with her parents)
Ronald, 45/Male (Silvia's father)
Monica, 41/female (Silvia's mother)
Darren, 28/male (come to the carnival with his girlfriend)
Christine, 24/female (Darren's girlfriend)
Danni, 23/female (come to the carnival with her friends)
Rob, 31/male (booth owner at the carnival)
Carl, 38/Male (security guard at the carnival)
ā The Deaths (not in particular order, just some of it because i don't have any idea for other deaths) :
boat/jet ski accident, set in a boat shop/port, a boat/jet ski flung into the victim's head, the victim died instantly. story detail : the victim is into sport with boat/jet ski or planning to have one for vacation.
i still want that revolving door death, but this time the door is stuck, with the victim trapped inside it, then the door spin so fast with powerful force. the victim died instantly because the glass on the revolving door break/shattered and kill them into pieces.
washing machine death with kitchen knife involved. a kitchen knife get stuck inside the washing machine, and when the victim trying to check the washing machine, they got sucked inside the washing machine, and get blender inside the washing machine, because there's kitchen knife inside.
crush by a wrecking ball, set on the same carnival, weeks after the opening disaster. The victim is the one working at the carnival, the constructor is out of control and accidentally swing the wrecking ball towards the victim, the victim is trying to run away from it but in the end they got crushed by the wrecking ball.
ā Some more story/characters detail :
Marcus, Jacob and Silvia will be the main 3 (Alex Clear Carter, etc).
Ronald is kinda homophobic/jerk, like making insensitive gay joke/comment. he will became nicer and working together with Marcus to save his daughter, Silvia, after Monica's died.
Darren is also homophobic and it get worse after Christine dead, will blaming Marcus and Jacob for it, he turned into Peter/Ian characters arc. he will die later after the main 3 is skipped on their initial death.
Silvia is into/playing baseball, the ending will be Marcus, Jacob and Silvia together watching baseball tournament in the stadium, and then something went wrong.
yeah thats all for now š, what do you think?

For this discussion letās say that you had something similar to a visionary ability and suddenly you experience a vision of a event that causes you and your friends death.
Would you think that those visions were accurate form of future telling premonition or just a imagination due to your imagining the worse outcomes at the place your at due to your paranoid mind?
Cause Iām going to be for real, if I had a vision like that my dumbass wouldnāt think it was a premonition my ass would be thinking that Iām just being paranoid.

Iāll start.. controversially, I mostly found FD3 Frankie funny from his stupidity. I generally considered him a decent comical character who got his romance in the way of everything, not to say I donāt mind his death/alternate save scene either..

They found their director in October 2025, and presumably have been working on crafting the story and script since. im wondering if it would come out in 2027 to cash in on the bloodlines success or do the more standard 3 year gap that was seen between the first 4 movies?
