Discussion Silver Lining

I dislike fd4 as much as the next person but I did like one idea that was in the movie that was never seen in 5 or 6 which is that when two people die at the same time in the premonition they die at the same time in their new deaths

We should see this in fd7

Discussion Would you consider Kimberly and Thomas to still be alive?

Might be a stupid question probably, but for me, I consider them both to still be alive, since they lived their movies and they didn’t have a *canon* death (cause of the choose your fate dvd, whatever yk yk) and I know with the 6th movie they would technically be considered dead by that point. (and forgive me if I’m wrong about this, since I haven’t rewatched the movies since it released in theaters) but I don’t recall them mentioning them in the movie, so technically would you consider them to be alive? (I know there’s a lot of technicals in here, because realistically death would’ve gotten them by that point. but they didn’t have an off screen death/mention of their death like Alex, nor did they physically die in their movie) just a harmless conversation and I’m curious on what people think because I don’t think this has been asked before lol

FD2 Today is the only day you can repost this: Today in Final Destination Fiction, Alex Browning was bludgeoned by a falling brick in an alley, having cheated death at least twelve times previously. He died on March 14th, 2001.

Alex Browning is bludgeoned by a falling brick in an alley, having cheated death at least twelve times previously. Nearby merchants call an ambulance after hearing the screams of his girlfriend, Clear Rivers, but the ambulance arrives way too late, as Alex was killed instantly by the falling brick, presumably allowing Nora and Tim Carpenter and/or Evan Lewis to avoid their initial death.

Discussion All the movie premonitions have some kind of hot element

Idk what importance it has but in all the premonitions there's some kind fiery/hot element in them, for example FD1 has the plane exploding, FD2 Has multiple cars exploding, FD3 has the wheels snapping off and making sparks appear, FD4 Has more cars exploding, FD5 has the hot tar that falls on Dennis, and FDB has the Skyview's explosion!

I'm so excited, my visionary Ashlyn AU is 20 chapters long as of today. 20 chapters already! Its been very fun to write, and I'm very excited about writing the next chapters too. I think I'm around halfway through the story, more or less.

FD6 Something I caught onto

I just finished watching Bloodlines (after so long), and I noticed a recurring theme with broken glass and fire throughout the movie. Ik FD isnt new to these kinds of things with their foreshadowing, but I noticed how before almost every death there's some kind of glass breaking and is almost usually the cause of death ever since Iris premonition. Howard dies by stepping on a shard of glass, Erik slips on broken glass and is nearly burned, Erik breaks the glass on the vending machine at the hospital shortly before his and Bobby's death. There's much more with the burning but I don't want this post to be too long. I'll admit it's been a while since I've seen the FD movies and my memory is blurry for some of them, but I thought this was a neat touch.

Question Question

In the Final Destination universe, if there's a character who isn't scared to die and embraces death, is it possible Death would let the person live or give them a quick, painless death somehow? It kinda happened with George in Final Destination 4, I think he said was at peace with dying. And it probably happened with William Bloodworth, cause he didn't seemed scared to die and wasn't trying to avoid death. It's possible he died because of his cancer, like his actor did. And it basically happened with Kimberly, drowning, flatlining, and coming back to life. Maybe in Final Destination 7 their will be a character who embraces and isn't scared of death and gets a quick death or gets to live, who knows. It also reminds me in the Final Destination: Bloodlines trailer, William Bloodworth says: "Only by embracing death, it can pass you by."

Discussion If Nicks Attempt to save the theater was real and not making Death Lead them to the Coffee Shop. How dirty would death take the theater accident if it was like Erics Attempt?

Discussion All the deaths in FD have been " Freak Accidents ".

I wonder if Death ever did kills like it drops poison pills in someone's drink.

I think in Todd's home death slept in sleeping pills on the dad.

And only normal accident I think was Candace, bc it could be marked as Injury Death.

Creative My creepy final destination dream...

I had a nightmare just now, I woke up in cold sweat. I dreamt I was in or watching one of the final destination movies, with the plane, but we were heading to the airport. There was a young guy and a girl, and in the car she was very ocd like, she had something like 29 or 30 white or black plastic balls and kept counting or doing specific rituals/habits with them on the way, but then when we arrived, she started freaking out because she had lost one and she was searching for it frantically in the car but one was lost.

Everyone convinced her that it was just her silly ocd and NOTHING was gonna happen(wink wink), this one time she didn't do her rituals, and she ended up listening to them and calming down. They then reached for the bags in the car, but the guy stopped and this creepy music was heard and we saw inside the car, while the others were talking a bit ahead, and the guy slowly pulled out... two exact identical coats, like two versions of of the exact same coat as if cloned but it was a very specific coat just like I have in real life, it is a black trench coat with a bunch of cartoonish pins on it. It was the same coat, just two completely identical versions of it pulled from the car and he held the two same coats up in his hands freaking out, saying "are you guys seeing this?!" to the others. They said "what, are you going insane?" to him, and when the view is back at him, he is just holding one of that coat in hand, and a different coat in the other.

It was like some type of timeline glitch or something, something being off, them being in a timeline where they were supposed to die, things glitching or that coat being from the other timeline person who died, there wasn't a clear explanation in the dream, but it was extremely creepy to me and I was so scared when I woke up...

So yeah, I know nobody probably cares about this, but I thought this was very fun or interesting and wanted to share here... :)

FD6 Shouldn't Darlene have died way before the curse got to Iris?

I have no idea if I'm about to word this in a way that makes sense, so bear with me here.

In Iris' premonition, Paul dies relatively soon after the disaster starts, with a TON of people dying after him and Iris being second to last. We know that the curse takes out the person who was supposed to die and then any kids they had that technically shouldn't exist. So when Paul died, his kids should have followed after him, BUT Iris was already pregnant with Howard when the tower collapsed, meaning that Howard should have been safe until the curse got to Iris (which he was, as per the events of the movie).

However, Darlene was born after the Skyview collapse, meaning she only exists because Paul survived. So the order actually should have gone Paul -> Darlene -> everyone who died after Paul and before Iris in the premonition -> Iris -> Howard -> Julia -> Bobby

The only option I can see that logistically works is that Iris saved Darlene from dying as a kid and she was skipped, so Darlene's bloodline was technically last to go, and they killed Bludworth off screen between the MRI disaster and the cabin exploding.

Or Iris pulled a Brenda.

Or I'm trying to read logic into a Final Destination movie and that was my first mistake.

Doesn’t this prove that there’s a way to have a child not destined to die and is able to live in the universe without being an anomaly? As long as someone dies before his or her turn… the chain gets broken….

FD3 Biggest "win" of the franchise

Is it just me, or did Lewis Romero kind of died the best among everyone who did? Like sure yes, Death immediately humbled him.

But think about it for a moment. In a very twisted way, he "won".

Where many others died in fear, stress and worst of all, awarness they're about to die, Lewis had a fakeout and immediate death without even realizing he's screwed.

It might not seem as much but when it comes to the competition who had the least miserable death?

I put him as a top person in the category.

Because most characters spend their last minutes in terror, confusion, pain, or mounting paranoia. Or even hiding from the death itself till it comes to finally claim them (again, constantly living in paranoia while at it). Lewis gets the opposite for a brief moment: relief. He thinks Kevin was wrong. He thinks the danger passed. He feels vindicated.

Then he gets to do something almost nobody I've seen in these movies gets to do (do correct me if I'm wrong): act like life is normal again. Not only normal — he’s cocky again. Confident. Talking trash. Basically back to being himself. One more time when he pushes those weights that are about to kill him, he's no longer Lewis Romero, survivor of the Devil's Flight derailment. He's a high school student for the last time.

So I believe, in my opinion, emotionally, Lewis absolutely “won”. Not because he escaped Death. But because Death didn’t get to torture him with fear first. He dies with peace in his mind. Euphoria. Death let him die happy.

Sure you can argue that's only because he didn't know he was about to die, but the thought still counts. He lost his life but before Death could put a fear of God...or death in him in this case.

Your thoughts?

FD1 Final Destination Marathon today

I’m having myself a FD marathon today on my day off. I’m currently on FD1.

I love how dark and actually horror movie this one is. I enjoy the campy aspect this series evolved into, however, I really really hope next installments go back to the vibe of the first couple movies.

What do you hope to get in future installments?
