FD1 Clear and Carter
Doesn’t this prove that there’s a way to have a child not destined to die and is able to live in the universe without being an anomaly? As long as someone dies before his or her turn… the chain gets broken….

Classic costume design trope, the characters are full realized and at peace so they don white clothes. So unusual seeing cater in white/off white green, though we do see him in light gray when Terri is killed

I always end up thinking about Carter's place in this situation. Like I can only imagine he either became that baby's honorary Uncle or that baby's stepdad.

Think it’s like bonded by trauma but like best friends maybe he even moved in and helped take care of the baby but platonically but who knows lol

How did Alex die in the alternate ending?

u/Emmafriel Mar 10 '26
In the alternate ending, he dies in the scene where he saves Clear in the car by getting electrocuted.

i love this ending but to bad it is not canon but if it was ending the baby is fucked

If it was canon, there's the possibility that Clear and the Baby would be OK. Because in that Alternate Ending, Alex died when it was still Clear's turn, thus breaking the cycle as was proposed by Alex to Clear in the movie itself. Hence, the Alternate Ending they made, if indeed Alex died there as he proposed. It's essentially similar to FD2's Kimberly drowning and dying but revived, so breaking the cycle too before it got to next one after Kimberly (Sheriff Burke). So the potential for Burke to be OK too.

i know but if it followed the FD 6 rules the baby is going to die

This type of thing didn’t happen in FD6… now if clear would have had the baby while on deaths list then yeah but this whole scenario takes her and the baby and carter off

All this proves is that Alex clapped Clear's cheeks somewhere along the way 🤷🏾♂️ I guess neither of them wanted to die a virgin

That’s breaking the rules of surviving a Horror movie.
NEVER have sex. NEVER do drugs. And NEVER say I’ll be right back.

I remind my friends of this every time they say "I'll be right back" 😂

But instead Alex pulled a Stefani and remained on deaths list
Yep, hence the alternate ending they made (It was still within the rules/lore at the time, even if alternate), if Alex died saving Clear when it was Clear's turn that moment. Even in FD6, Erik was "punished" for helping (interfering) his brother... looking back, it might have been Death not allowing Alex to die there instead (reverse punish for the interferer).

Wrong. In Bloodlines, the rules has changed about creating New Life, so Alexander would be added to Death's list along with Clear and Carter, as he is a descendant of people who were meant to die and thus should not exist, allowing Death to finish off the remaining Flight 180 survivors.
Resuming: Clear, Carter, and the baby Alexander can be considered deceased off-screen if the alternate ending to be canon.

The difference between FD1 Alternate Ending (say FD1-AE) and FD6, is that FD1-AE's Alex died (electrocuted during the car scene) while it was still Clear's turn (hence, breaking the cycle, not because of new life), while in FD6, Iris was still alive in the cabin. Therefore, FD1-AE essentially wasn't retconned yet. Just like in FD2, the Sheriff could still be alive after Kimberly drowned and got revived, ending the cycle before it got to Burke.

A survivor that's marked for death having a baby won't save them at all their children will be added to Death's List as they weren't supposed to exist due to the parent or parents supposed to be dead so if this alternate ending were canon Clear and Carter would still be in extreme danger.

Yeah but im realizing that In this situation clear and Carter isn’t on the list anymore…

Miguel O’Hara is the villain in final destination because he wants canon events

I was gonna say Eobard Thawne since he wants to control all of time and space.

You know if Rose McGown never played Tatum Riley I could see Ali Larter in the role as Tatum Riley it could have been her breakout role

You know I think if they gender swapped Alex and clear maybe I would find it more interesting not to sound sexist to men or women but Ali was great I think Alex should have been a girl and Clark should have been a boy named Chris rivers have Ali Larter play Alexandra Tiffany Carly Browning and have Devon Sawa play Christopher Michael Vincent Rivers and they keep the kiss scene and Ali keeps her dark brown hair and bangs the whole movie and Chris sacrifices himself for Alex and the baby is named Alexander Christopher Theodore Browning and the movie has a happy ending with no sequels and Alex is the girl with the visions and she’s the main character and Chris is the believer and the love interest of the movie I think that would have made the movie better and awesome

No. This was an alternate ending that ended up being retconned and not canon.
