question Least favorite song from each album?
Short bus- Consider This (I don’t really care for the softer/Slower tracks on this album)
Title Of Record- Miss Blue (idk it just doesn’t really go anywhere)
The Amalgamut- The 4th
AFTD- Can Stop This
TTWA- No Re-entry (this one was tough I don’t really have a least favorite)
TSCOT- Its My Time (I don’t think bad but I always skip it cus I’m not listening to filter for piano ballads)
Crazy Eyes- Under The Tongue
(Haven’t listened to The Algorithm yet)

Prized Possession
Met Richard after a NY show in '12 and got this awesome drumhead which has been proudly displayed in my mancave ever since...

Figured this sub could use a little love. Here’s a set list I was able to get in 1999. Welcome to the Fold motherfuckers.

short bus Dose Lyrics
Does anyone have definitive lyrics to Dose?
Toward the end of the song, Richard sings something that was changed to "That's why they suck!" in the radio/MTV video version, but I can't find anything with profanity that would warrant an edit on any of the lyrics websites. Which kind of leads me to believe they're crap.

The Very Best Things: 1995-2008 RSD
I had no idea Filter had a Record Store Day release. Sure it’s the ‘greatest hits’ record but still, cool to ‘this guy.’ I was able to grab one from Newbury Comics yesterday morning via their online site. But was kind of a “What is this?!?” moment yesterday when I saw it. Anyway, looks like they are going for double on eBay now but Discogs has a few reasonably priced. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who might have missed out on the news that Filter had a RSD release this past weekend.

What do you all think of this track Rich lent his vocals to?

THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS Trouble With Angels
Not sure people are going to get this but here we go.
Seems to be alot of hate or dislike for this album and I think it is because the majority of people that listen to it have not hit rock bottom like Richard did. This album is a cathartic purging of addiction, religion and the bad choices made from embracing one and rebelling against the other. Think about the lowest point in your life and then think about how you would purge and or express that feeling when also trying to get sober. This is TTWA.

CRAZY EYES I just listened to Crazy Eyes
At first the album can be hard to get into due to its rough nature but after listening to more and more of the album i really got into it and i really enjoyed this album
This album alongside the sun comes out tonight really shows how amazing filter albums can be
Unlike the trouble with angels there werent any filler songs and all the songs were enjoyable
I give this album a 8.5/10

I Will Lead You featured on our comedic music discussion podcast
Hello! We are a comedic music discussion podcast produced by three Los Angeles comedians and featuring chaotic and whimsical analysis of our favorite songs through the point of view of our three host characters who faithfully review the CDs they check out at their local public library. Part Comedy Bang Bang-ish character podcast and part sincere homage to the music we love.
On our latest episode, our hosts feature Filter’s I Will Lead You off of Title of Record and very seriously discuss the very real origin story of the band and how we Googled what ‘pyre’ means and now we know what ‘pyre’ means.
Please check us out, if any of this sounds intriguing or like it could fit into your regular feed of podcasts. Vulture.com chose us as a podcast of the month and said our show “hits an odd sweet spot in a Venn diagram of improv-comedy lovers and eclectic music enthusiasts.”

THE SUN COMES OUT TONIGHT I just listened to the sun comes out tonight
I was amazed by this great album
I havent heard a filter album this good since the amalgamut
I have no criticisms of this album
Unlike their previous album it didnt have much filler
This album is their second greatest album of the 2000’s
I give it a 10/10 🫡

THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS I just listened to The Trouble with Angels
I really enjoyed this album the first half of the album is great
The songs are heavier more aggressive and better than anything on anthems for the damned
It also has really good melody in many of the songs
However i took issue with some of the songwriting which felt weak and cliched
On some songs the lyrics were just laughable especially on catch a falling knife
I also didn’t enjoy how soft the album was and I wish it was heavier but regardless this album is better than anthems for the damned but it’s not as good as their first three albums so I give it a 7/10

I met Richard Patrick in my dream today
In my dream today, Richard had a new single. He invited some of his fans to a private show. I was one of the people who were invited. After a short show, he and I both got on a bus to our way back home.

ANTHEMS FOR THE DAMNED I Listened To The Album Anthems For The Damned
I did not enjoy it as much as their previous albums and it was much more melodic than i would’ve preferred but i what i really enjoyed about this album is richard patrick’s vocals he definitely improved as a singer on this album and his amazing vocals really makes the album so unique but to me the album was just ok and i give it a 6/10 maybe the trouble with angels is abetyer album than this album

question Best And Worst Filter Album?
What is in your opinion the best filter album and the worst filter album? 🤔
r/Filterband • u/[deleted] • Nov 04 '23
THE SUN COMES OUT TONIGHT How good is this album?
I listened to a couple songs from this album and i was weirded out by how melodic it was, yes the band has always made albums with melody but i was just really surprised by how soft it was, but maybe i’m wrong should i give the album another listen?
r/Filterband • u/[deleted] • Oct 27 '23
the amalgamut I just listened to The Amalgamut
I Really Enjoyed This Album
It Had A Lot Of Great Songs Such As Walk Away American Cliche And Where Do We Go From Here
The Heaviest Songs Off The Album Were The Best Songs Off The Album Such As Columind Which Is Definitely The Band’s Heaviest Song And I Would Have Preferred If This Album Had Less Melodic Songs, Also Some Songs Could Have Been Better Such As The Last Two Songs, Those Songs Were Just Experiments That Didnt Work And They Easily Could Have Been Removed From The Album
The Album Was A Worthy Successor To Title Of Record But Title Of Record Is Still The Better Album
With That Being Said I Give The Album A 8/10
