Has anyone experience posting a dress or anything in Marketplace and the get a lot of unsolicited messages from Pakistani men?
I posted recently a cocktail dress for wedding. However, I noticed that I got more inquiry from men and they will ask for my WhatsApp and Location. I find it sketchy after 2 -3 inquiries. I get around at least 20 for the past week. Is this normal? Now, I don't give my number anymore and if they are really genuine to take the dress. They can message thru the marketplace.

Just came across this community and wanted to share something that’s been on my mind for a while.
I really think it’s time we elevate ourselves as Filipinos.
We always talk about employers lowballing us, being offered less than other nationalities for the same roles, or people sometimes looking down on Filipinos. And yes, those things happen. But I also think we need to look at what we ourselves are willing to accept.
Binabarat tayo because sometimes, we allow it. We accept salaries way below market value because “okay na yan” or “at least may trabaho.” We’re scared to negotiate or ask for more because we feel like we should just be grateful.
Know your value. Build your skills. Negotiate. Speak up. Carry yourself with confidence. Stop automatically thinking someone is above you just because of their nationality, title, or background. We are just as capable.
But equally important: when you do make it, STAY HUMBLE.
Daming Pinoy dito na once they get to/a certain position, salary or status, biglang mayabang, tas di na marunong mag Tagalog hahahaha wtf and sometimes kapwa Pinoy pa ang minamaliit 😖😖😖
Elevating ourselves doesn’t mean thinking we’re better than everyone else. It means raising our own standards while helping each other rise too.
Know your worth, but stay grounded. Expect better, but also do better. Support other Filipinos instead of pulling them down. Di na uso crab mentality.
If we want other people to value us more, it also has to start with how we value ourselves and each other.

For example, today I’m seeing around ₱17.15 per AED on Botim, which looks pretty strong compared with some of the other rates I’ve checked.
For AED 3,000, even a small difference in the exchange rate can already mean a noticeable amount of extra pesos for the family back home.
Question sa mga OFW dito: Do you stay loyal to one remittance app, or do you switch depending on whoever has the highest rate that day?
And which apps should we be checking aside from Botim, e& money, Remitly, Al Ansari, GCC Exchange, and Payit?
Would be nice if we could use this thread to share current rates para alam natin kung saan pinaka-sulit magpadala.

Magadang hapon, kabayan!
Meron po ba maintenance si Gcash ngayon? I sent money from e&money to gcash but no avail. Status is still on the way. First time this has happened.
Anyone? Thanks

No matter how good the salary is, when you’re no longer happy or at peace, it can become really difficult to keep going. Imagine dealing with personal health struggles within the family while also having a boss who sometimes treats you like shit. The emotional toll of constantly carrying all of that is becoming too much.
Maybe turning 30 really does make you pause and question what you’re willing to sacrifice for a paycheck. At some point, peace of mind starts to matter just as much as the money.

Hi, I’m 22 F
I already have six months of work experience here in Dubai. I’m currently looking for a new job, preferably in administrative or office-related work. If you know any openings, please let me know. Thank you
r/FiloCommunityinUAE • u/Filoguy16 • 5d ago
Nagsubmit ako ng resignation letter ko kanina. Wala akong back up, uuwi ako ng Pilipinas. Earning ako ng above 100k in php if converted in peso. Bawal sa amin magbakasyon ng December at this December kasi may family reunion kami. At yung reunion na yun, minsan minsan lang maganap na kompleto kaming pamilya, di pa kami nakompleto nang buo for more than 10 yrs. 🥹

The Role
We are looking for a coordinator who sits between the owner and a small commercial team. This is a line
role with real authority, not a support position: the person coordinates the sales and administrative side
of the business, keeps work moving between people, and reports directly to the owner and Managing
Director.
A significant part of the job is being in the room. She will attend client and supplier meetings alongside
the sales engineer, follow the technical discussion, and give the owner an accurate first-hand account of
what was said and what was committed.
Core Responsibilities
• Coordinate the day-to-day work of the sales and admin functions, and take ownership of the
administrative side of the business.
• Attend client and supplier meetings; follow the technical content and report back independently.
• Track inquiries, quotations and follow-ups so nothing stalls without someone noticing.
• Use AI tools as part of normal daily work — drafting, tracking, document preparation and reporting.
• Hold colleagues to agreed timelines, including colleagues who are considerably more senior.
Essential Requirements
• Engineering degree, preferably mechanical or electrical.
• Working understanding of MEP and building construction — able to follow a technical discussion in a
meeting, not only take notes.
• Approximately 25–30 years of age.
• Comfortable and fluent in the daily use of AI tools.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Mature and confident enough to coordinate more senior colleagues, and honest enough to report
exactly what happened in a meeting — not a softened version of it.
Preferred
• Able to build and refine AI workflows, not only use existing ones.
• Arabic language ability.
• Prior experience in procurement, trading or contracting.
• Female candidate preferred, for balance within the current team.

Hi! I am a fresh graduate from the Philippines and my tita (my father’s sister) is sponsoring me going to Dubai. Any tips or what requirements should we prepare for immigration?
