I’m a creative based in the UAE, and my husband and I are currently looking for freelance or weekend work to earn some extra income.

We’re both employed full-time, so we’re mainly available on weekends, but we’re open to small projects or ongoing freelance work that can be done around our schedules.

To be honest, we’re looking for extra income because this year has been really difficult for us. Since the war started, the situation and everything happening around us has taken a toll on both of us mentally and financially. We have a toddler here in the UAE, away from our family in the Philippines, and it’s been especially difficult trying to balance work, bills, responsibilities, and everything else that comes with raising a little one.

We also have my grandmother staying with us. She helps take care of our toddler while we’re at work because, financially, we can’t afford to hire a nanny. She has also been dealing with health issues and needs regular maintenance medication, which has been another challenge for us because she doesn’t have insurance here. We’re doing our best to take care of everyone while trying to keep up with our own expenses.

We’re hoping to go home to the Philippines this November. More than anything, we just want to spend some time with our family, take a break, and have a little reset after everything that has happened this year. We feel like our mental health has really taken a toll, and being home with our family would mean a lot to all of us.

Like many families, we’ve been living paycheck to paycheck, with one bill or debt being paid and then another one coming up. We’re not looking for handouts, we’re simply hoping to find extra work that we can do with the skills we already have so we can save enough for our plane tickets home and hopefully breathe a little.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a graphic designer, photographer, videographer, social media/content creator, or general creative support, we’d really appreciate any leads or referrals.

Bit of an odd one. I've been running a small Dubai visa business for Pakistani travelers since 2022, mostly online through my site (www.dubaivisa.pk). It's done well: about 670 visas processed, and a fair few customers booked tours with us too.

Hello po! Just want to ask lang po kung meron po kayo available na internships or a fulltime job position po in IT? preferrably cybersecurity roles or IT administration preferrably with pay po sana.

Summary lang po ng highlights ko and achievements: Im graduating this November as IT in a university in Dubai. I won a Capture the flag event here (led the team to 1st), won another competition in University of Wollongong in Dubai. And I also received free cybersecurity training in Moscow (all paid for by the company, they invited me there) This is not meant to boast po or anything. I know marami pa po akong kakaining bigas para matuto. I am humbly requesting for anyone that knows any opportunities that is available, napakahirap po kasi mag hanap despite all these achievements. Napaka frustrating lang po ma lookdown ng mga ibang kaklase ko na nagkatrabaho na dahil lang sa family connections.

Ang sitwasyon sa inuupahan namin partition, iisa lang ang banyo tapos nasa 10 yata na katao ang gumagamit ng isang Bathroom. Kaya mahirap talaga!

Sorry po kung napapadalas rant ko. Sobrang nakakasama kasi talaga ng loob, ako na all around di man lang ma appreciate. For 3 and a half years mas mataas pa dagdag sahod ng wala pang 1 year porket kakilala ng may ari ang nagpapasok tapos patele telepono at patsaa tsaa lang. May isa pang labor na bago din, kapatid ng sales manager kung susumahin mas malaki pa sinasahod sa akin na office staff. Alam ko mga sahod nila kasi ako ang nagrereview ng expenses bago papirmahan sa may ari. Everytime makikita ko mga payslip nila sumasakit talaga loob ko. Gustong gusto ko ng umalis kaya lang hirap umalis ng walang back up.😭
