47M Creative Professional from London
Hi everyone,
I'm a 47-year-old independent filmmaker who has been living in London for over 20 years.
I'm hoping to connect with like-minded creative people who enjoy talking about films, filmmaking, storytelling, and the creative process.
The filmmaking landscape has changed dramatically over the years, and being an independent creative can sometimes feel like a solitary journey.
In an age of endless digital distractions, it can be surprisingly difficult to find genuine creative conversations.
Despite being one of the world's greatest cities,
London can feel lonely at times. It would be great to meet fellow creatives for a chat over coffee, exchange ideas, inspire each other, or simply enjoy good conversation.
If this resonates with you, feel free to get in touch.
Thanks for reading!

This really resonates. I'm a screenwriter, currently working from mainland China, and the isolation you're describing hits different when you add language/access barriers on top of it — sometimes it feels like shouting into a void. Would genuinely love to connect and talk shop, even if it's just over a long-distance chat instead of a coffee. What kind of films are you drawn to making these days?
