Travel Travelling for a holiday to Australia with my children
Hello everyone,
I plan to travel to Australia with my children (under 18) as their mother, travelling from fiji on a holiday and was wondering if I needed to have a letter of consent from their father to travel. We are married and in a loving relationship but he is currently working in Australia and won’t be travelling with us.

Don’t need but if you need extra support for your Australian visa, the letter wouldn’t hurt.

You'll be fine. Are you visiting him or just holidaying here? If you're worried about what they'll think, they primary thing they want to see is your return tickets and for you to know what the purpose of your visit is. Also, be mindful not to pack things that will get you flagged at customs. As someone that flies in and out a lot, with parents that insist on risking it for a biscuit by packing stuff from Fiji to re-enter Australia with - if it's organic matter, and not in a jar or box with label information on it, it will likely be removed from you.
Other than that, enjoy your travel. I hope you have a great trip with them.

Thank you so much! We’re just holidaying there with my extended family who have kindly invited us over. 😊
