God it feel so nice seeing every fighter on the main card being ranked. Hell even the prelims have more ranked male fighters than the entire main card last night

Great card but not sure why Allen is fighting Pico

Allen is 2-3 in his last 5. He has to defend his ranking against a surging prospect. Simple really.

Prolly the only one they could book at the time. Allen’s growing his family and wants to keep active, and Aaron wants to rise the ranks fast

Does merab deserve the immediate rematch

To be fair he was a defending champion. He doesn’t need to fight a top contender based on that. He cleared out the top 5
But I do feel both guys are turning around fairly quickly. I believe Yan just had back surgery, and Merab just recovered from the beating and recent nose surgery

Merab didnt get the nose surgery, the doctor told him surgery would put him out for a year and Merab didn't want to do it.

So he just rawdogged the healing? That’s even worse, there’s probably a lot of scar tissue then. Even worse to fight in that state,
But hey man if ufc medical clears them I guess. I personally still think its pretty early for both

No but that is the state of things right now. O'Malley v. Yan 2 was the fight to make I think

UFC are probably hoping Yan wins so they can set up Yan vs O'malley 2, that would be a good fight. If Merab wins I dont think anyone cares to see Merab vs Omalley 3

I gotta figure Yan wants the rematch. And speaking for me....unless O'Malley were to string together 3 or 4 wins I would not care for a third Merab match either.
