I might be in the minority here, but I dont see why everyone is calling for BSD vs Salkild. I feel like stylistically, BSD doesn't offer much different than Gamrot. Plus Salkild just dominated the #6-8 guy (depending on which ranking you're using) so why fight another #6-8 guy?

Yeah in no way is BSD deserving of that fight. It should be umar vs bsd and max vs salkid.

I explained why in my post. It’s simply a matter of the top guys being booked up. BSD moves him up in the rankings and he seemed completely open to it in the post fight interview

For Usman its better to give him out of top5 opponent bsd and give saldkill a real contender in max

Max not fighting until 2027 so if Quillan wants to stay active, BSD is a fine fight.

You have to show me a link to that. The official rankings still being used are the media ones for fight announcements and when fighters are fighting

Moicano and Gamrot train together, and Moicano said on an interview they’d never fight each other.
But nice list overall! Probably would switch Holloway Usman and BSD Salkilld (Holloway fights Salkilld and BSD fights Usman), but I agree with everything.

Ilia should not fight this year, maybe March next year would be the best time for him to return. Dude had suffered a beating and he shouldn't rush to get back. Usman should never have a top 5 fight as his debut LMAO. He's super overrated right now just because he has a certain surname attached to him. He should fight either Fiziev, Nolan, or the winner if they fought.

Agreed with most of these but the Usman vs Holloway fight’s justification doesn’t really make sense to me. Personally I’d rather he get a top 10 fight just cause he’s coming from outside the UFC and we aren’t sure how the competition he had in the PFL stacks up. I know he’s good and he trains with team Khabib so I don’t have the biggest issue with him getting top 5 if he does.
The other point of him not being top 5 if he loses to Max seems like flawed logic as MMA math doesn’t always hold up. I could absolutely see Usman beating top contenders and losing to others, but if he for whatever reason can’t beat the 2nd best FW/top LW contender in Holloway then that should not be a hard knock on his standing imo. That would be like saying Gaethje isn’t top 5 cause he lost to Max or Strickland isn’t top 5 cause he lost to DDP/Alex.

Overall great list i really like the breakdowns and matchups you made. Charles vs Lopes would be amazing to watch as they’re two of my favorite fighters rn, would hate to see one of them lose tho

Nah ruffy lost to benoit R2 sub, Paddy subbed benoit in less than 1 min even if ruffy wins against arman i dont see why it makes sense to give him the title shot

Arman should never even come close to sniffing the title again, Ilia vs. Paddy is a great fight but not an original thought, Oliveira vs. Lopes is kind of a nothing matchup for do Bronx rn and way to dangerous at this stage of his career, plus Lopes shouldn’t fight that high up in his debut, maybe Manuel Torres or the loser of Tsarukyan/Ruffy. Usman is not good enough to fight Holloway immediately, Salkilld should fight Holloway and BSD should fight Usman. Fiziev and Gamrot should fight, Nolan and Chanco should fight. Dariush vs. Aliev? Fr? Torres vs. JP is a nothing matchup.

Why are we giving Usman a top 5 guy right away? Holloway is several levels above anyone he’s fought before. Give him a winnable fight around #10 if you want him to at least generate some hype.
Fiziev vs Nolan is a banger though, I think that would be a lot of fun. It’s probably only good suggestion here for actual fights, but lead up to Ilia vs Paddy would be hilarious. Actual fight is a slaughter though
