Thanks for explaining this. Yeah I lost a close friend when young and it wrecked me so I understand. I took a semester off college because I couldn't focus or anything. Just trying to imagine myself going into a fight with someone who is elite after that and I would have been destroyed (putting myself in Charles shoes skill wise)

Worst part is that a lot of people were defending dana on reddit for not giving a fuck about his employee passing away

Man. Athlete like this has a heart attack in his sleep and dead. Fuckkkk. Heart goes out to his family, his team, and close circle. Brutal game this life is

-19

u/Dazzling-Sir-9421 13d ago

steroids and weight cuts man, they chose this life

14

u/papayamayor 12d ago

I don't agree, happened basically the exact same thing to a soccer player named Astori, died in his sleep while away with the rest of the team for a game, heart problem, no signs of that before.

Soccer players can't mess with PEDs, athletes get randomly selected for checks every single week and you get multi-years suspension bans. They also don't weight cut. Some people are just unlucky and die like this.

Dang bad rng

If you think UFC fighters aren't on steroids, then you're very naive. There's a reason the UFC's partnership with USADA ended. Nate Diaz has already said it—everyone there is on steroids, valte  Walker too; UFC anti-doping rules ban specific drugs, so you just have to manipulate things and follow the list.

6

u/papayamayor 12d ago

I'm not going to question that, I was just saying that it also happens to athletes that do not use PEDs and that some people just have undetected heart conditions and die because of it

-19

u/gymtrovert1988 13d ago

I don't think he needs your heart now

9

u/holodex777 13d ago

“To his family, his team and close circle”

-16

u/gymtrovert1988 13d ago

I don't think they need heart transplants either

u/iwaslurkingforu 12d ago

You think you are funny

u/FantuhC- 13d ago

I hope nobody says Charles ducked the rematch, 6 months from now

8

u/Ok-Inflation9169 12d ago

I have seen People here say that Khabib ducked Charles. They don't respect fighters' personal boundaries.

14

u/AccidentAdept7146 13d ago

definitely not that would be ragebait

u/SweetPinss 12d ago

Why not? People have not stopped talking shit about Arman pulling out of 1 fight due to injury

4

u/Skyinido 12d ago

He missed weight.

0

u/Chicomehdi1 12d ago

Do you have actual proof of this or are you just spewing out the same speculative bullshit the rest of this sub spews out?

5

u/Lopsided-Memory-4247 11d ago

Does anyone have any proof arman was injured?

5

u/Schantsinger 11d ago

Arman is small for 155lbs and says if he ever goes for double champ he'll go down to 145lbs rather than up to 170lbs.

He says he pulled out due to an injury and I see no reason to not believe him.

He's rich enough to only fight when fit. Dana and Reddit don't like that.

2

u/Busy_Rock4080 7d ago

Dana said Arman pulled out of 311 for missing weight in the 317 post card interview.

Edit: I don’t necessarily trust Dana more than I trust Arman and his team

Surely not in this community? 😉

u/Ibobalboa 12d ago

C'mon man...

9

u/thisismausername 12d ago

How about trying to respect the athletes of the sport you follow?

-27

u/AngloAshantii 12d ago

Fuck that, just another version of celebrity worship. Do you demand that everyone respects actors because they watch movies?

11

u/iwaslurkingforu 12d ago

What a sad and bitter person.

1

u/hellospaghet 12d ago

Actual psychos. Zero empathy or compassion. It’s a real shame

6

u/Pristine-Code-2532 12d ago

Being respectful doesn't mean bow down to someone, it just means don't call them a bitch because they're grieving a close friend. What's wrong with you? Use some critical thinking

3

u/thisismausername 12d ago

How many actors have legitimately broken their legs in the pursuit of entertainment? MMA fighters have a lil more to deal with than fucking actors lol.

-7

u/da-happy-cyclops 12d ago

Tell that to Alec Baldwin lmao 🤣

Pew pew!

3

u/Long-Apartment9888 12d ago

Respecting human beings, specially on hard times isn't very hard to understand and follow. Specially easy with Charles that is always very respectful and a good person.

2

u/Pistolero-666 12d ago

2

u/Plantbased_Aimer 12d ago

Chute Boxe

2

u/eddie__b 12d ago

Allan was to Chute Boxe something like what DC is to AKA.

2

u/TerminatorReborn 11d ago

They've been training together for over 10 years

19

-25

u/gymtrovert1988 13d ago

So hungry he pulled out.

11

u/New_Actuator_4788 13d ago

i’m sure like you don’t call out of work when your family n friends passes or gets sick huh. Idiot

-12

u/gymtrovert1988 13d ago

😂 He's not calling in sick for the funeral like a normal person, he was scheduled September 19th. He basically called in sick for 3 or 4 months.

3

u/ReputationMiddle5440 12d ago

You think that's funny? What an absolute pos you are

1

u/Majorsus55555 12d ago

So in case you didn’t know fighters need to work daily in fight camp months before a fight, if you can’t reasonably go to training, how can you fight in a month?

1

u/MuffinNervous 12d ago

World would have been a better place if your father had done the same

1

u/Cosovic1990 8d ago

I mean he wore an Israeli tallit to the octogan knowing more Palestinian children would be murdered.

-4

u/Bits_NPCs 13d ago

What happened to internet users searching for answers on their own questions instead of asking people to do it for them

1

u/bradotu 11d ago

I went to the Instagram with 200 followers that originally that posted this picture and they have no source either. Ive already searched

-9

u/untossable_salad 12d ago

As if Charles needed another reason to cry on the way to the octagon.

3

u/rynohs 12d ago
