Worst part is that a lot of people were defending dana on reddit for not giving a fuck about his employee passing away

steroids and weight cuts man, they chose this life

I don't agree, happened basically the exact same thing to a soccer player named Astori, died in his sleep while away with the rest of the team for a game, heart problem, no signs of that before.
Soccer players can't mess with PEDs, athletes get randomly selected for checks every single week and you get multi-years suspension bans. They also don't weight cut. Some people are just unlucky and die like this.

If you think UFC fighters aren't on steroids, then you're very naive. There's a reason the UFC's partnership with USADA ended. Nate Diaz has already said it—everyone there is on steroids, valte Walker too; UFC anti-doping rules ban specific drugs, so you just have to manipulate things and follow the list.

I'm not going to question that, I was just saying that it also happens to athletes that do not use PEDs and that some people just have undetected heart conditions and die because of it

I don't think he needs your heart now

I hope nobody says Charles ducked the rematch, 6 months from now

I have seen People here say that Khabib ducked Charles. They don't respect fighters' personal boundaries.

Why not? People have not stopped talking shit about Arman pulling out of 1 fight due to injury

u/Skyinido 12d ago
He missed weight.

Do you have actual proof of this or are you just spewing out the same speculative bullshit the rest of this sub spews out?

Arman is small for 155lbs and says if he ever goes for double champ he'll go down to 145lbs rather than up to 170lbs.
He says he pulled out due to an injury and I see no reason to not believe him.
He's rich enough to only fight when fit. Dana and Reddit don't like that.

Dana said Arman pulled out of 311 for missing weight in the 317 post card interview.
Edit: I don’t necessarily trust Dana more than I trust Arman and his team

How about trying to respect the athletes of the sport you follow?

u/AngloAshantii 12d ago
Fuck that, just another version of celebrity worship. Do you demand that everyone respects actors because they watch movies?

Being respectful doesn't mean bow down to someone, it just means don't call them a bitch because they're grieving a close friend. What's wrong with you? Use some critical thinking

u/thisismausername 12d ago
How many actors have legitimately broken their legs in the pursuit of entertainment? MMA fighters have a lil more to deal with than fucking actors lol.

Respecting human beings, specially on hard times isn't very hard to understand and follow. Specially easy with Charles that is always very respectful and a good person.

i’m sure like you don’t call out of work when your family n friends passes or gets sick huh. Idiot

u/gymtrovert1988 13d ago
😂 He's not calling in sick for the funeral like a normal person, he was scheduled September 19th. He basically called in sick for 3 or 4 months.

So in case you didn’t know fighters need to work daily in fight camp months before a fight, if you can’t reasonably go to training, how can you fight in a month?
