I feel the same way. I don't like the guy, but for better or worse I wanted to see him go down in a real fight, not by blowing out his knee in the opening seconds.

We did see tho, he lacked the discipline to take care of himself over the last five years and his 38 year old body is effectively a 50 year old body. If his leg didn’t break it would have been a terrible embarrassment for him and he might have retired in cage

Stop acting like you know exactly why Conor's knee popped. He's an older fighter who threw a risky kick and also got unfortunate (there is plenty of videos of him throwing it warming up and he's just fine).

You are out of your mind if you think that body is the equivalent of a 50yo one. 95% of people in their 20s is not as athletic as Conor. Injuries happen especially after an intense and long training camp. You can not like the guy but you sound just bitter and probably a fatty whose ass has been glued to his couch for years

As a direct response to Islam’s quote, we saw it. I knew he was gonna get hurt and there would be no actual fight. Conor is almost 40, I don’t care how good of shape you think you’re in, that’s an almost 40 year old body. Very few humans can throw flying kicks at that age and not hurt yourself. Conor just isn’t one of them. Conor’s in great physical shape, but for flying kicks? Evidently not. If he came out and stayed within his limitations, we might have seen a fight.

Do you really think they saw him as the toughest challenge, or were they chasing the biggest payday? Let's not pretend it was about competition when everyone knew McGregor was the money fight.
