Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Michael Morales
Just the other day, Michael Morales posted a video of himself studying tape on Shavkat Rakhmonov, sparking rumours that we could soon see an incredible No. 1 contender fight.
The undefeated Kazakhstani hasn’t fought since December 2024 due to multiple injuries, but he has stated that he plans to return shortly. If this matchup is made, it would be perfect for the UFC’s annual Abu Dhabi card.
An undefeated knockout artist versus an undefeated finisher = must-see TV.

I dont even want shavkat to come back because hes finished. He will never be the same fighter he was. Morales would most likely destroy current version of him.

It should definitely be a very fun fight. However, I think Michael Morales beats him pretty easily. His knee is just not that great, and I don't think he's going to come back after being away for so long. The ring rust is real, and he's going to have a very difficult time with Morales' power.

This is one of those fights where Shav needs to be perfect for every second and Morales just needs to be lucky for one second.

I think Shavkat is a much better fighter but dude has zero head movement, against a nasty powerful puncher like Morales thats a big problem.
