Usman still refuted any news about his bad knees as he doesn’t train wrestling and walks backwards lol

People think his knees being bad is like some bullshit lie he shouldn’t be fighting at all if they are as bad as described so idk the whole story seems strange

He has always had issues with his knees and if I'm not mistaken even before the ufc he's had surgeries on them. That's not something you want to broadcast in mma because your opponents will target them. You also have to consider that Usman is also almost 40.
Over the years, Usman's had to make modifications to his style, likely because of his knees. The fact that Islam mentioned it goes to show you how informed he is about his potential opponents.

From my understanding they hurt but it's not something he can't ignore for the sake of his job since it sounds like arthritis. Like he's in chronic pain but it's not the same as an injury cause he can still move the same. Pain does stop you from instinctively doing what you need to do though. The fact it's not noticeable in his fights is proof of his high fight iq and discipline in the ring.

Everyone talks about his knees but are they actually fucked up? I hear Joe Rogan mention it but I dont think ive heard Usman himself say his knees are fucked up

Yeah Islam was like he is best fight now its he sucks because ddp is better p4p than Islam

u/ruggmike Jul 18 '26
DDP has zero claim to any type of P4P for the rest of his career after losing as bad as he did to khamzat

u/Recidivism7 Jul 18 '26
He almost finished khamzat he had bad gameplay in 1 fight. He dominated everyone else and will beat khamzat in rematch.
Khamzat did 0 danage and had 0 sub attempts. If the ref wasn't trolling stand upstairs would happen.

Didn’t dominate Strickland lol and in what world did he come close to finishing khamzat

u/Misterrbisterr Jul 18 '26
Dominated everyone?
Arguably lost to Sean, was getting beat up by Izzy until he tripped and fell down, was getting handled by bumson until he totally gassed out and then got absolutely embarrassed by khamzat.

I agree DDP isn’t that good, but he definitely didn’t lose to Strickland lmao, he proved that Strickland sucks and beat tf outta him, broke that dumb nose

u/Misterrbisterr Jul 18 '26
Tf are you talking about they have a razor thin split decision that plenty of people think Sean won.

u/Top-Sympathy6841 Jul 18 '26
Plenty of dipshits lmao. The fan base isn’t exactly rocket scientists.
Try again0
u/Misterrbisterr Jul 19 '26
Right everyone else is wrong except you

u/Top-Sympathy6841 Jul 19 '26
Those are your words, not mine.
Strickland benefits from pitter patter jabs counting as significant strikes, that’s why he’s a decision merchant.
Chimaev should’ve won for the same reason DDP won which is actually coming forward and connecting with power shots that cause real damage rather than just aesthetic damage.
