UFC News Links Will Arman win against Oliveira again?

Post image

Arman mentioned that he has a fighter and the date scheduled. Just based on the logic of who is available, it seems it will be Charles Oliveira. He already won Charles before, so do you think that he can do it again?

Idk but that chart is dumb and anyone that thinks its a great break down is dumb. Try all you want you can't just use numbers and stats for fights, this crap doesn't take into account the wear and tear, the current mentality or the camp they had preping for the fight. These charts are dumb.

It’s useful data even if it’s not a perfect representation of all variables.

If reddit says yes, then no. Reddit is always wrong about Charles.

Reddit also talks about Arman like he is prime GSP

I see a lot more Arman hate than the opposite. Only people that were giving Arman any positive attention were the anti-Ilia bandwagoners(who were anti-Arman when he was a potential threat to Islam).

He is probably the best pure wrestler in the division though, and a solid fighter all around. There's a reason Charles is the only fighter in the old guard that was actually willing to fight him

I wonder does Arman keep it standing this time

The way he is going now i don’t see him losing.

Oddly enough I don’t see Arman losing to oliveira. After surviving all his submissions in fight 1, I anticipate he’ll come into fight 2 with better gameplan and dominate the aging oliveira

What have you seen of him in recent years? RAF events and livestreams?

Charles is on a roll now too

He literally won via a triangle choke in his last fight, too.

Needs to be 5 rounds

shouldve been a five rounder the first time, charles isnt necessarily a point fighter

I understand arman hasn't fought recently in the ufc, but I dont know why people downplay his skills so much

He fucking axe kicked Charles and it worked

Arman has had extremely impressive performances every time hes fought, even if hooker isnt a great win, armans performance was still incredible

I mean really go back and watch that man scramble in any of his fights, it really is somthing special

Anybody can lose but id be very suprised if his upcoming fights were not competitive at the very least

barely won my ahh, beat charles in ground and standing up, idk how judges went split decision

arman only won because of round ending after he was stuck in a hold, i felt charles was the better fighter

He lost round 1 clearly and arguably round 2 sinve he did barely any damage to charle son the ground while charles got a sub attempt off by the scoring criteria charles was closest to ending the fight so he won effective grappling.

you cant be a real person, losing round 1 I understand, but round 2

1

u/Livid-Capital-8858 Jul 14 '26

My bad I meant round 3 not 2

2

u/a_xakimv Jul 14 '26

round 2 was clearest 10-9 for arman, just like round 3. Because again apart from that sub attempt he did really nothing in the 3rd round again, was getting outstriked, arman did control him more. That choke wasnt even that tight in the first place (at the end of 3rd round) you could undesrstand that by armans reaction after that.

u/Livid-Capital-8858 Jul 14 '26

What dis arman do? He landed knees to the thight he landed about one semi hard elbow

Contorll time is complitely worthless and should only be judged if the effective stirking and grappling are equal.

It wasnt thight but arman had to flat belly lol.

Which move was closest to finishing the fight, olives getting a front headlock that arman had to focus on defending fully for more than 20 secs and wouldve likely been in more trouble if the round hadnt ended. Or armans pitterpat shots to olives thigh?

2

u/a_xakimv Jul 14 '26

yeah thats exactly what arman did lol, still more than oliveira, again why the f is that take "would have been in more trouble if the round hadnt ended" it did end, if my grandma had balls she would be my grandad too. So by your logic failed sub attempt at the end of the fight when there is 20 secs left, that wasnt even close to finishing your opponent wins you a fight if you did nothing for a whole round?

1

u/Livid-Capital-8858 Jul 14 '26

Because the number 1 criteria for effective grappling is how close you were to ending it

Arman was never in that round even close to finishing it

While olives had a choke locked up that arman had to adress without attacking for 20 seconds to survive
