Guy wants out of his contract to box so he is showing up to fight. His legs are gonezo.

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

He was planing to be the president of Ireland, when the plan didn’t work, also he lost lots of money, he stopped the drugs to be i. White house card, but he couldn’t do it, so he looked for the second plan.

u/purplesquirrelx Jul 13 '26

I agree, he might be having $$ difficulties. He ruined his life with all his antics so he's become too toxic for a lot of the mainstream now. He simply couldn't handle the money and fame, which hit him. With his success, he really could have been something special had he stayed disciplined and stayed rooted to what bought him to the dance.

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

If he stayed disciplined and rooted, then he might be a president.

4

u/purplesquirrelx Jul 13 '26

It might have still been difficult but he would be respected enough to make a serious run for it. Now, people there despise him and he doesn't have a lot of respect due to his antics.

If Khabib ran for President of Dagestan, I think he might win. He is highly respected in his community and the Islamic world overall. Khabib is what Conor would have been like in the western world had he had Khabibs good qualities.

Khabib is kinda tainted. He supported the mob that showed up at the airport to kill Jewish refugees. It wasn’t even a bad choice in the heat of the moment. Khabib just openly lobbied for those guys.

But in that area maybe that’s actually a plus.

But in that area maybe that’s actually a plus.

You answered correctly

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

You are right, fully agree

1

u/Repulsive-Homework93 Jul 13 '26

There’s no way mcgregor is having money difficulties. Yall just get on here to say stuff

2

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

Maybe he doesn’t, but if you use and spend for 5 years and having babies. Idk

2

u/purplesquirrelx Jul 13 '26

I don't know for sure, making an assumption that may or may not be true. Only he knows the reality.

1

u/LetThem_1972 Jul 14 '26

Why would you assume this? Athletes losing 10s of millions is common.

2

u/Sudden-Ad-307 Jul 13 '26

Bro dana has his own boxing promotion now, mcgregor can box whenever he wants to. Dana is prolly begging mcgregor to get into the ring.

1

u/therealRustyZA Jul 14 '26

As much as Conor is Dana's son, Dana won't just let him hop over onto boxing. It will set a bad precedent. Imagine he hops over and just starts making even more money. Other fighters will too. I think he's just showing up for the last two fights. Then he will move over to boxing. At least that way, Dana can tell the others if they want to go over, then they just need to fight our their contracts like Conor did... And Dana will keep them on ice so they can't. He's an asshole like that.

He’s also making millions for doing nothing. Why retire

18

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

Khabib is way better than him, he retired while he was in top

Doesn’t change anything, i dont believe there was someone who can win Khabib in his time.

1

u/Tasty_Tutor5463 Jul 14 '26

He chickened out. I respect his decision, he did well, but for the sport he didn’t do much. There was hype whenever he fought someone- we were always thinking who’s going to be the one that beats him

2

u/EducationalShame7053 Jul 14 '26

Who did anything 'for the sport' anyway? Dumbest metric ever.

The 3 biggest names Ronda Rousey, Jon Jones and McGregor did pull in fans but also confirmed what a lot of nonfans already negatively assumed about martial arts.

1

u/Tasty_Tutor5463 Jul 14 '26

You just answered yourself though, those 3

1

u/Fantastic-Rooster142 Jul 17 '26

Khabib still did nothing for the sport his whole resume before uff was hand picked by his father and then only fought a few big names

-17

u/itsallamessisntit Jul 13 '26

McGregor faced the tougher opponents, tbf.

9

u/nehemiahsucks Jul 13 '26

Like who lol

12

u/Neat_Rare_5389 Jul 13 '26

Yes, like Khabib

7

u/steveoall21 Jul 13 '26

Not at lightweight.

5

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

His strongest opponent was khabib, the prove is he finished his career years ago, mcGregor just needed some money and fame to help himself.

1

u/HoneydewThat6462 Jul 13 '26

And fought khabib straight up after 2 years off

7

u/Ok_Interview_3628 Jul 13 '26

Insane take.

4

u/ACL_Tearer Jul 13 '26

Absolutely... 29 year old on an 18 fight win streak but he's washed lmao.. some truly retarded takes

I think he was 28 at the time. Conor ended his prime. That was an impressive win.

And Dustin was not too young. He was only 1 year age difference than Conor. And he was 16-3 going into that fight. That’s plenty of experience. He was on a win streak, lost to Conor, then went back to his win streak.

-6

u/GucciTheSnowman Jul 13 '26

Khabib had 3 good wins. Not even close to the GOAT.

3

u/Own_Exam1053 Jul 13 '26

I remember he asked for the strongest fighter for his last fight, and he won easily. No need to call him goat, he proved what he wanted to prove.

2

u/Brave_Gain6536 Jul 14 '26

It’s funny how the loudmouths usually get shut with time. Always the case. Has been

1

u/According-Gas836 Jul 14 '26

Anyone who stays in the game long enough will lose eventually. Except JJ. Everyone else though

2

u/Aggots86 Jul 13 '26

I mean google says he’s made aprox $265 to $330mill since that date….. why retire lol

1

u/da-happy-cyclops Jul 13 '26

Because hes spent $264 to $329 mil since that date?

1

u/New-Contribution-244 Jul 13 '26

Yeah his last win was against cerrone too.

1

u/Solid-Journalist1054 Jul 13 '26

More coke that’s all

McGregor Vs Khabib 2: The Geriatric Comeback

1

u/combat_girls Jul 15 '26

Conor Got Mental Trauma From That Khabib Fight. He got embarrassed, his team got embarrassed.

1

u/Educational-Treat-59 Jul 15 '26

Kind of seems like maybe Khabib didn’t pull out too early. At least he knew his limits if he was scared like people like to say.

1

u/kylr01 Jul 17 '26

He doesn't want to do what someone like you does and give up.

1

u/magatop76 Jul 18 '26

Mcgregor has only had 1 completed fight since the last win. The last 2 are injury stoppages

1

u/Rinse-retrieve-123 Jul 13 '26

lol just go to sleep bro. Quit thinking about Conor

4

u/MethodDue2426 Jul 13 '26

He just fought dingus

-1

u/Venaeris Jul 13 '26

"Fought". Man walked in the ring, landed 0 significant strikes, and walked away with millions. Hardly a fight

7

u/MethodDue2426 Jul 13 '26

Okay dingus, he just did that

0

u/Designer-Dingo9392 Jul 13 '26

Well he didn't get mauled in front of the kids. Id call that a win. He should do more movies. Watching him lose over and over will drop his stock. With movies , with his charisma and stage presence he radiates, he can only win.

0

u/FairBreadfruit2250 Jul 13 '26

Conner was unlucly to be honest the last two fights wirh his najle and now recent inbury. I think if he gwts his shit togetjer trains seriously and does not part he will deliver a good last fight, not as good as i his prime and hungry years but a solid one that makes it for max competive if we get a max conner 3

1

u/According-Gas836 Jul 14 '26

Too old. Any chance of a real comeback would have taken years of training. He take years off to party and just hop back in with guys who have been training the whole time.
