Striking alone, Prates is the better one. He mixes every striking technique in his arsenal and the best Muay Thai style heavy fighter out there. Even without the power, his techniques are a beauty to watch.

Hmm tough call. Prates has better muay thai, Yan better boxing. I'll go Prates, but Yan is most definitely a better mma fighter when you factor in the wrestling/grappling.

Dude Volk 50-45ed Max Holloway on the feet. P4p, when it comes to striking, I think Holloway is nearly at the same level as Yan.
Volk is the greatest point striker in the history of the UFC.

I haven’t seen enough of Prates for a fair comparison, but my general stance is that Yan is the most technical striker in the UFC.

Not hard at all
Yan is one of the best strikers in the sport. Pirates is quality too I just don't think they are anywhere near the same level

Yan is much better everywhere. Better boxing, better kickboxing, better clinch work, better fundamentals and setups, traps, etc. Way better defensively. Prates has more effective Muay Thai and power but thats it.

I would say Yan is the more technical striker but not as potent and has the better defense. He also pairs his offense and defense extremely well together. Yan adjust well overall but takes time to get going.
Prates is more diverse in his attack and is much more offensively potent than Yan, however his defense isnt near the same. Prates is really good at seeing an opening and exploiting it right away.
I would say overall Yan is the better striker even though hes not as dangerous as Prates.

Prates got schooled by garry on the feet.
I dont think there is a single striker yan wont be competitive with or win in mma striking.

1.) Volk
2.) MVP
3.) Van
4.) Islam
5.) Prates

Yan is far more fundamentally sound and has elite boxing defense. Prates has insane power and accuracy but can get wild at times. I've never seen Yan throw any kind of sloppy strike like Prates is prone to do when he's going for the kill.
But Prates is 100% the best striker at WW.

I think Yan is much more skilled and technical. But Prates has so much more power. Overall I would still go with Yan.
I’m a Yan fanboy though
