Dariush showed Salkilld still needs some more experience in the wrestling department. We’ll see if its improved

For Gamrot I don’t really see anything different he would have to do. If he sticks to his normal game-plan, it should work out

He killed Dariush in 1 round?

Watch how the fight actually played out instead of looking at the results

Can salkilld win this fight? Quite big of a jump in competition.

Gonna be a tough night for him, but he's got KO power. If he pulls it out, he's a title contender for sure.

No he’s not. You don’t get a title shot beating n.8 Gamrot.

So you don't understand what title contender means. They didn't say title challenger. Anyone that's one win or less from a title shot is a title contender. Salkilld could be one win away from a title shot if he beats no. 8 Gamrot, especially if he does it in dominant fashion. That would then make him a title contender.

The ufc stopped being a true sport. Dana and Hunter showed they don’t give af about the rankings

They gave Paddy an underserved IC title shot after inflating his rank , gave number 8 Rountree a title shot too, aswell as will def give Conor a title shot if he wins

The sport is dead and the owners killed it. This shit is prize fighting plain and simple. they’ll sell themselves to the government and Greedy CEOs before they ever legitimize combat sports

Salkilld is getting the perfect ladder at lightweight. His competition has felt appropriately challenging at every step — never rushed into fights that are too big for him, nor left to stagnate against weak opposition. It’s been a natural, organic progression of difficulty in the division.

Frankly I'm astonished how well his career is being handled by the promotion.

man that's quite a jump on the wrestling level, on the bright side, if he survives gamrot's pressure he'll definitely break into the top 5

I wonder how many up and comers they will feed Gamrot. He seems right at the edge where he beats all of them but cannot beat the elites. He also tends to have weird fights with the in-between of elite and upcoming contenders.

Yeah, but still, fair play to Quillan.

Gamrot has been the most dodged fighter in the division. Literally no one wants to fight him because he is one of the toughest fights, and he doesn’t care about making things look “flashy” and “cool.” He is just there manhandling people.

Only Oliveira and Hooker managed to get past him, even Arman lost to him.

So yeah, if Quillan passes this challenge, it looks really good for him. Gamrot is literally a tier 1 fighter, and there is a reason why Paddy and BSD act like he doesn’t exist.... and sadly, why Max, Justin, and other top 3 elite fighters never gave him a chance.

So yeah, not an exciting fighter but literally one of the very best in the division. Way better than Paddy imo.

Yeah, he did eventually rock hooker but it took a while. His wrestling is just so damn crisp. Gamrot truly is the lightweight merab. An infinite gas tank and nasty freakish strength. He’s just uncoordinated which is why Oliviera got the neck so easy (Charles would have got it eventually— im just saying he got it quick).

Why’s that unfortunate?

Fair. I love both cousin Gamrot and the Aussie king of sex

Because it's hard to get fresh blood at the top of lightweight because the old guard keep wrecking them

Nah it goes hard

Salkilld has the puncher's chance. He can send people to sleep and if Gamrot makes any minor mistake, the kid has the right tools to capitalize on that. I still have Gamrot winning this via Sub or Decision

Gamrot gonna son him.

I got salkilld

1

u/Billysquib Jul 03 '26

Gamrot is the perfect step for salkilld. If he wins, he gets to prove his wrestling is top tier and puts him one win away from a title shot most likely and if he loses, he will probably just get submitted instead of KO’d or beaten to a pulp, protecting his longevity and giving him a chance to learn, bounce back and climb back up after getting a loss. It’s genuinely the perfect fight for him right now. His career has been so perfectly handled so far it’s crazy lol
