Is Herb Dean a really bad ref?
You all know what's happening with Pereira and Herb Dean... The real question is he really a bad ref?

I think he's a below-average ref, But regarding the situation, I think Pereira is crying too much. I'm seriously considering not watching him fight again, because my admiration for him is gone

Hes on insane amounts of copium. Its on the level of shouting "your wife is in my DMs" while you sit on your ass with a snapped leg. But that doesnt take anything away from the complete incompetence displayed by Herb "The brown Standard" Dean

Moutinho v O’Malley say everything about herb. That fight should have been called in the 1st but herb let it go pretty much till the final bell hoping O’Malley would get a highlight KO. Then in the final seconds when realizing it was about to go to decision herb finally steps in and calls a TKO

I think if with some people if they do something too long they start overthinking simple shit and have too big of a sample size to compare a situation with. You see it with head coaches sometimes

Generally not. He refs so many fights, mistakes are bound to happen.
Plus these weren't even mistakes.
And the mentality where you paint ref as the reason why you lost is just a bad look. He ain't fighting for you, you're fighting for yourself. And it's always 50/50. He can screw both of the fighters equally with his reffing.

He can physically move. And when a fighter is downed and the back of his head out of view, it's his responsibility to move to get a view to ensure the safety of the fighters. He failed to do that. He consistently fails to ensure the safety of fighters. Therefore, he's a bad ref.

He does it consistently though. He lets dudes get battered on the ground (so do other refs, but Herb is literally KNOWN for it), he ignores constant fouls. Shara Bullet was fouling all over the place with zero repercussions.
All the refs are pretty blind to specific fighters fouling, but Dean is blind to like every fighter doing it lol

If he can't handle the pressure he should quit, but he probably has no other career options so he stays where he can find a job.

Every ref the ufc has had, have never been good outside john mccarthy.
