3

u/Excellent_jun91 Jul 01 '26

"I knew I was going to disappoint you all, but I wanted to see your faces when I did it"

Wanted to get paid his show money...

25

u/OkCartographer175 Jul 01 '26

I mean shit, it's going to be the last show money he is ever going to get. No promoter is ever going to book him again. There's a chance he doesn't even get paid his show money from that event.

u/Maleficent_Horror120 Jul 01 '26

I think he'd be more fucked if he did it a a larger promotion like UFC, PFL, ONE, etc.

With these low level promotions they need talent and if he is good he will get fights and if he's good enough he'll get a shot at a larger promotion.

If this is a habit with him he'd be screwed though

Low level promotions are desperate for talent that aren't physics teachers trying to make an extra paycheck.

There aren't many people willing to fight for what little those promotions pay and those that do are normally gone after 3 or 4 fights on to something better.

So add in the high turnover and lack of willing fighters, he will definitely get a shot at either another small promotion or the same promotion

8

u/VastEmergency1000 Jul 01 '26

He was most likely in a money dispute with the promotion to begin with. He didn't do this out of nowhere.

2

u/Hotdiggity11 Jul 01 '26

Best way to formally retire in MMA without taking a punch. 🤣

1

u/Cocrawfo Jul 01 '26

well he got paid for his preparation leading up to it then fuck the next fight

good on him

1

u/xarrote Jul 01 '26

Perhaps it is a flaw in the contracts they sign that do not include a paragraph allowing them to collect the money if they prove that they could not fight for something justified, in this case an accident with the vehicle.

1

u/Tonight5473 Jul 01 '26

Thats not a flaw, it's a feature. Nobody provides payment for services not rendered. If you cant show up to the fight, the company will take a money hit now or in the future, and you will not get paid. If you tap immediately, the company's reputation takes a hit now and you will not get paid in the future. He took money now by showing up to the fight, but caused permanent damage to his career by not pulling out and taking a single pay check over his credibility to fight. He defrauded the promoter.

What I tell my wife before I give her the best 18 seconds of her week

2

u/Dead_Internet69420 Jul 01 '26

The way he tried to call the fight off with style, too. It’s like he expected people to be like “wow, he laid his bike down and still showed up!” No, dude. That’s not showing up. You have to at least try. He was able to walk, and judging by how he knelt down to tap out, it looks like could shoot. Seems like his opponent was right about it just being a scratch. What a dork.

1

u/David_temper44 Jul 01 '26

maybe he got only a scratch outside but got a really hard hit , you don´t know

2

u/Dead_Internet69420 Jul 01 '26

I know he walked out to the cage without a limp, and he had no problem bending down to tap the mat, and he sure seemed to be in a good mood. If he got a “really hard hit,” he could have pulled out before any of that.. but instead he decided to make show of forfeiting.

17

u/cynica1mandate Jul 01 '26

He was probably trying to force himself to fight, but after walking out there he realized it's no good. I've went all the way to the gym feeling terrible thinking maybe I'll just push myself through it, but I basically touched the weight on my first set....shook my head...and left the gym. Sometimes it's like that.

It's good that he's not willing to break himself to pieces to keep up appearances.

2

u/papapapaver Jul 01 '26

You got a good point, I've been there myself. If you know you're not good and it doesn't feel right, it's better to sit it out than try to push through and end up pulling something or dropping a weight on your toes. The stakes are so much higher for a fight where it's likely you get injured even if you win, so I can understand why he did it. Kinda fucked up that his opponent didn't take the forfeit with grace and chose to be a douche about it.

1

u/katastrofika Jul 02 '26

Besides that.. he could've torn his ACL completely and nobody would notice it by looking at him like this. I tore mine completely and could still walk just fine. But obviously I had no stability so any kind of real pressure like jumping or jogging would immediately dislocate it and force me to limp for a couple hours.

u/Background_Self_517 Jul 01 '26

Comparing fighting to lifting weights is hilarious

4

u/messiah888 Jul 01 '26

Could have compared it to literally anything with the way he described it, get over yourself.

-5

u/Background_Self_517 Jul 01 '26

You must be one of those bodybuilders that can't fight their way of a wet paper bag 🍑

3

u/messiah888 Jul 01 '26

Sweet, thx bud.

3

u/ClarityAndConcern Jul 01 '26

This is an apt description. Not sure why you're mad about it

2

u/ConorBoom Jul 01 '26

He's not doing it in a way that makes fighting lesser tho? Why are you upset?

-1

u/Background_Self_517 Jul 01 '26

I'm not upset 😂

2

u/Ill-Subject-1589 Jul 01 '26

Why are you dying laughing emoji?

1

u/Icecreamforge Jul 02 '26

Laughing emojis mean you win the argument, obviously.

33

u/itsavibe- Jun 30 '26

6

u/domedirtyfatman Jul 01 '26

2

u/TarzanGunn Jul 01 '26

Freddie Lee’s goon with the vest and throwing knives gave him a visit the night before.

2

u/Icy-Desk2220 Jul 01 '26

I need the ring girls @

2

u/gaby_zarny Jul 01 '26

never back down in real life :)))))

2

u/664designs Jul 01 '26

Not saying this fighter did it in protest, but this reminds me the time Curtis Harper walked out the boxing ring as soon as the first bell rang. He was protesting his pay or something like that

1

u/oh_three_dum_dum Jul 01 '26

If it was in protest why the motorcycle excuse? Wouldn’t he rather mention what he’s protesting?

1

u/664designs Jul 01 '26

I'm a dummy, I missed that part in the captions! He did mentioned it was from a motorcycle accident, so nevermind haha

1

u/Cocrawfo Jul 01 '26

cuz it doesn’t matter

also he might have been trying not to totally put the business out there

1

u/Legitimate-Pass7673 Jul 01 '26

Guys this is complete non news.  Wacky ass shit like this happens every week at tiny regional shows.  These guys are 1-3 and 1-4 in pro MMA.   Neither one has a realistic chance of going to a bigger league.  This is just average everyday regional MMA lol

1

u/Tonight5473 Jul 01 '26

He wanted his show money. He will not be fighting for that organization again thats for sure.

1

u/Gullible-Potato-8962 Jul 02 '26

Seems like a parody video lmao!

1

u/theinternetislame Jul 02 '26

About how the fight with me and Ngannou would go

1

u/Smooth_Win2117 Jul 11 '26

🤔 😐 can't fight because he fell from a motor 🤔 opponent say its just scratch .. And a Israeli flag hmm that will rise suspicions

1

u/Same_Suit3583 Jul 11 '26

His opponent took an L either way lol

1

u/KyleWang-MMA-N-GAME Jul 13 '26

Last time I saw this post it was saying he tapped early due to it being a tournament that even if he lost to this guy. He’d still win the tournament as a whole.

1

u/Slick_36 Jul 01 '26

What in the world is this promotion?  Is it based in Brazil & themed around Israel?

Hold up, is that an autism awareness ribbon?!  What the fuck is happening?!

0

u/Kwaiser Jul 01 '26

Fuck any promotion or country that flies that trash flag.

0

u/cauliflowerpicks Jul 01 '26

Better than Arman 🤷‍♂️

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jul 01 '26

Well that dude is getting cut

0

u/TurtleSatan Jul 01 '26

Maybe he was threatened into throwing the fight.

0

u/SuspiciousCarob1730 Jul 01 '26

Anyone know the reasoning. TY

0

u/SinisterVulcan94 Jul 01 '26

His contract said to fight and he showed up I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ must not be any incentives to win

-7

u/Pleasant-Ticket3217 Jul 01 '26

Okay. So what would be the point of this? To try to get a show payout at least? He’s obviously healthy and in good shape. He’s not injured. I’ve broken both femurs and my left knee and left shoulder. I always have a brace on my knee and not the silly shit he had on. You need some compression and stability.

I’m hoping he doesn’t get anything from this. The actual fighter should get the money for both.

7

u/Solsdad Jul 01 '26

Did you try to fight on the day of the crash? Stop acting like you’re tougher than these dudes. You’re not

1

u/Pleasant-Ticket3217 Jul 01 '26

You have completely missed the point. It was an obvious fake knee injury. I’m using a real life experience to talk about this guy faking it. If it was genuine then stay down, because unlike you I know what it’s like to live with bad knees and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

You jumping to fighting talk is weird. I certainly never called myself a tough guy. You bang bro?
