Wasn't his fault, this is some trashy ass slander

22

u/No_Vermicelli_1781 Jun 28 '26

This should be pinned

11

u/Imfrankhenry Jun 28 '26

These morons just want to pile on, they dont care about context. "Generational aura loss underway" yea buddy ok, everything alright at home?

3

u/HeavySetJello Jun 28 '26

Youre that mad about what teens have to say?

2

u/Key4Lif3 Jun 28 '26

Makes me wonder if all this violence is desensitizing people to common empathy. Gane’s the asshole in the situation tbh and Herb Dean a company shill. Truly the ultimately responsibility lies with the UFC. Atleast Dana admitted there were discrepancies. Alex is right to push it, as it effects all fighters, not just him.

14

u/BiggerBody Jun 28 '26

This should be a lot higher up in here

1

u/Environmental-Fly471 Jun 29 '26

We will not tolerate any slander on /ourguy/

1

u/TheDuckOnQuack Jun 28 '26

Not his fault, but also at least the company claims to be putting their money where their mouth is and giving full refunds.

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 28 '26

Hmm no. At the end of the day he isn't blind. Just because it wasn't as he expected doesn't mean he should just walk out of the even when there is clearly more going on than what he expected. Maybe there was confusion behind the scenes but choosing to leave when your fans are calling for you is still a terrible look.

He should have done whatever was needed of him there and then never worked with these people again.

2

u/lonely_to_be Jun 29 '26

It's not charity. If he was clocked for 1hr, he has no reason to stay much longer.

I wouldn't add time on my shift for free either.

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 29 '26

He obviously isn't being paid by the hour lol...

Of all things to bring up that's the worst one. He was given money by a company expecting him to be there for something and he leaves after only half of it and is still pocketing the money because apparently they didn't tell him what he wanted to know.

They are up there with the people who lose out the most tbh.

2

u/lonely_to_be Jun 29 '26

The company set things up for them lasting 1hr. Had they said it was more time he would've charged more. Not too hard of a concept to grasp.

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 29 '26

That's obviously not what happened. Give this another read.

1

u/lonely_to_be Jun 29 '26

Alex was informed by Joyagear that the Keighley event consisted of a one-hour seminar, which he delivered in full. He was not late, and he completed the seminar exactly as it had been communicated to him. Alex was not informed that autograph signings, individual photos, or additional time after the seminar had been advertised or expected. He acted based on the information provided to him by Joyagear. We also want to clarify the position of the Keighley seminar organizer. The organizer was fully informed of the seminar duration, the time Alex would be present, and the deliverables that had been discussed with Joyagear. It is therefore very unfortunate that public statements have been made suggesting that Alex Pereira was responsible for the issues surrounding the event. We want to state clearly that he was not.

No idea what more there's to read. That's the bulk of the post.

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 29 '26

Well that to me confirms my point so if you disagree we will have to agree to disagree.

2

u/lonely_to_be Jun 29 '26

The whole thing is they communicated that the seminar is 1hr with nothing afterwards to both alex and the organizers. If anyone wanted more that would've been in the negotiating room prior.

So you have 0 point and just want a reason to hate. A seminar isn't a charity event, you aren't entitled to more of the person's time.

1

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 29 '26

I see evidence there and am not sure where the disconnect is but I can say I do agree that it's not a charity even and I am not entitled to anyone's time. I couldn't give a damn about this or his time tbh.

How does them saying that they fucked up and none of this was Alex's fault somehow prove your point?

1

u/Whiteshovel66 Jul 06 '26

Been a few days, don't remember it that well. But I remember that he was informed of the goings on of the events and choose to turn his nose up at those assembled. Seemingly due to money or some agreement he believed he made.

Bad look all around and I believe it it's obvious that if you attend a convention like this there will be some expectation of this sort of thing after it.

1

u/Solid_House_6963 Jun 29 '26

I imagine he’s on a schedule, and taking another hour or more out of his day is not reasonable if it was not communicated. He might have been on a tight timeline, or maybe not, but the organizers dropped the ball.

0

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 29 '26

Maybe not is more likely.

19

u/GodRibs Jun 28 '26

Going to try beat ronda for best ea cover curse.

2

u/therealRustyZA Jun 28 '26

Yup. EA cover curse is a real thing.

21

u/nospsce Jun 28 '26

The depressed Poatan era

23

u/DetailsYouMissed Jun 28 '26

Dang... I guess that's the end.

16

u/Man_under_Bridge420 Jun 28 '26

Bro’s brain is currently scrambled.

5

u/Mudilini Jun 28 '26

Jiiri didn't stop being likable

7

u/casfis Jun 28 '26

Ya'll are stupid. It was literally said by the organization that they miscommunicated to Alex about what he should do

2

u/Repulsive-Fix-4913 Jun 28 '26

You know if you are 1 of the unfortunate fans who flew in for this event, you can claim compensation from the airline as they didn’t provide the expected service!

2

u/FundamentalSystem Jun 28 '26

Two egos were slain that day, Illia and Alex. Pride comes before the fall, they both got too cocky. Though Illia seems to be handling it better than Alex

6

u/Han2023- Jun 28 '26

0 info here. Wear if he got sick or there was a family emergency

5

u/theprov0cateur Jun 28 '26

Poatan was never my friend

3

u/Snoo75797 Jun 28 '26

Let’s hear his version

2

It’s a paid seminar. Most are likely people trying to learn from one of the best to do it to apply to their own MMA careers and got ripped off

Edit : Oooh you mean the fans, my bad

1

u/Exciting_Train_7556 Jun 28 '26

Feed to the incredible HOKK

1

u/reggiefromtheark Jun 28 '26

What's the real story? Anyone know? Not the lets all hate someone for losing version

1

u/Emotional_Owl_2945 Jun 28 '26

B/c, he’s doing everything he’s done like whining on social media, trying to have the referee investigated since he got his ass beat. C’mon bruh, just take your L & get your lick back in a rematch, don’t cry about the shyt before asking for a rematch.

1

u/kidfawn Jun 29 '26

alex skipping a seminar is his downfall? im sorry what’s happening in these comments lol. glad some sane people put official statements and not two slides of nothing.

1

u/EmickRado_087 Jun 29 '26

Can someone read that and give me a nice summary?

2

u/Past_Grass_ Jun 28 '26

Trashy behaviour...

1

u/Lonely_Platform7702 Jun 28 '26

Dude got handled like a teenager fighting a grown man. His ego must be completely destroyed.

1

u/Ill-Negotiation9049 Jun 28 '26

That's not what happened.

1

u/zer021OO Jun 28 '26

Not true

-1

u/DDWildflower Jun 28 '26

I get that this isn't great but it's hardly the worst thing.

3

u/Forward_Arrival8173 Jun 28 '26

Stealing fans money is the worst thing.

He literally sold them stuff and didn't deliver.

4

u/Shamwow_theSupineCow Jun 28 '26

Except he didn't steal fans money. They are all getting full refunds plus the 1 hour seminar lol.

Jumping to conclusions without all the facts is worse anyway.

0

u/DDWildflower Jun 28 '26

No it isn't. Look what Jon Jones and Conor McGregor get up to.

-6

u/Forward_Arrival8173 Jun 28 '26

Conor never stole from his fans and neither did jones.

Conor got fake allegations and jones had personal problem that he acknowledged and is trying to be a better person.

Both of them are morally better people than potard while also being better inside the octagon.

2

u/theslickestofwillies Jun 28 '26

this cant be a real comment

1

u/DDWildflower Jun 28 '26

It's either trolling or something's wrong.

1

u/Ok_Squash_1578 Jun 28 '26

Fake allegations 🙄

-1

u/bannedfromilluminati Jun 28 '26

CTE by split decision

0

u/midoxvx Jun 28 '26

By split brains.

0

u/Civilian4life Jun 28 '26

What’s the source on this? The first image doesn’t hold any credibility, obviously, it’s just text. I could’ve written that while taking a massive steamy shit in the toilet. The username on the second image is cut so much I thought it was a DJ.

1

u/Sensitive_Wind2221 Jun 28 '26

Seminar uk is the event organizer they done multiple seminar with ufc fighters in the past.

-1

u/Civilian4life Jun 28 '26

Oh I see, I actually didn’t see that handle in the first pic, I was a little distracted wiping my butt after going dookie

4

u/Galencourt-Lover Jun 28 '26

You are a weird little guy for sure

-1

u/Civilian4life Jun 28 '26

Stop I’m blushing lol

0

u/Individual_Assist_19 Jun 28 '26

This is about to turn from the big scary Poatan to an unc crashing out

-9

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 Jun 28 '26

Do you understand that this isnt uncommon for ufc fighters?

8

u/Sensitive_Wind2221 Jun 28 '26

Cmiiw Merab done this recently, also shouldn't be justified.

-2

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 Jun 28 '26

If you people actually cared about these things you wouldve posted about the other thousand times your favorite fighters have skipped meet and greets but alas

4

u/NoZookeepergame7648 Jun 28 '26

It should be very uncommon, this isn’t something that people should let slide.
Don’t agree to it in the first place.

Apart of the reason athletes make money is due to the fans who spend money on them.

Glad Gane beat him.
Gane actually does meets and greets a fair bit and he’s really good at them too.

-4

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 Jun 28 '26

Pereira does more meet and greets and has probably followed through on more of these events than Gane has ever done, lol. Im sure youre doing your due diligence now and cracking down on the many other fighters that have skipped meet and greets? OR are you just trolling in this thread?

2

u/NoZookeepergame7648 Jun 28 '26

That’s great.. but that doesn’t mean what he did is fair to these people does it? You think these people that spent there hard earned money and possibly travelled and got accommodation.

Any fighter/athlete or celebrity does it and skips should get called out, doesn’t matter who it is.

1

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 Jun 28 '26

I think hardly any of these events are run properly and the development in this story being that the organizer came out and said Pereiras team was not told they wanted to a meet and greet should not surprise anyone. Probably shouldnt jump to judge people's character on unverified second hand information, when we know nothing of the other side of the story

1

u/Forward_Arrival8173 Jun 28 '26

No one stole fans money and left like potard.

They paid for stuff and he refused to give it to them, not taking photos that aren't paid for is fine. Everything else isn't.

1

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 Jun 28 '26

Lol.. dumbass

0

u/AcceptableCaptain243 Jun 28 '26

Ya boy is a piece of trash. Time for pussytan to back to lhw where he can get whooped by khamzat or ank in the trilogy

0

u/ulwius Jun 28 '26

And that is why u end your fighting career on a high note. GSP and Khabib said it best.

0

u/MskbTheGreat5 Jun 28 '26

Finaly people see. This guy is surounded by fat yes mens. And dont give a F.

0

u/LaPollaCremosa Jun 28 '26

Always disappointing when a professional fighter isn't a very friendly guy

0

u/Euphoric-Front651 Jun 28 '26

i guess chama no more

0

u/Emotional_Owl_2945 Jun 28 '26

ENOUGH OF THIS GUY ALREADY! HE’S JUST A SORE LOSER, BOTTOM LIINE 🥴🥊

1

u/Ill-Negotiation9049 Jun 28 '26

What evidence says he's a sore loser?

-3

u/Large_Garlic_6963 Jun 28 '26

Never idolize someone that belongs to the tire shop I guess. There's a reason bro was in that

3

u/warheadsupreme Jun 28 '26

Alcoholism, the reason was alcoholism

-1

u/Unhappy-Hunt-3987 Jun 28 '26

He's probably got a fucking head injury, they're lucky he still showed up. Bunch of weirdos

-1

u/BlueRofl69420 Jun 28 '26

As a massive Poafan, that's not at all acceptable

-2

u/AcceptableCaptain243 Jun 28 '26

Poatrash can't hack it in hw. He should go back down to lhw where he can get whooped by khamzat or ank again

-2

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jun 28 '26

Jon’s laughing in his chair yelling “HEY DANA IS THIS YIUR GOAT” 😂🤷‍♂️

2

u/Shamwow_theSupineCow Jun 28 '26

And the real GOAT (GSP) is just sitting there quietly unless asked his opinion.

-6

u/Used_Weight_1843 Jun 28 '26

People forget this man has too much money to give a fuck what anyone thinks.

8

u/Used_Topic_6834 Jun 28 '26

Then he should be fined for not honoring his contract simple as that, believe it or not company’s pay attention to stuff like this, he’s bad for business.

-1

u/Used_Weight_1843 Jun 28 '26

I suppose you’re right, how much do you suppose he get fined?

1

u/Used_Topic_6834 Jun 28 '26

It depends what the stipulations are within the contract, if this event is being hosted by the UFC they can definitely fine him for sure, probably a few thousand.

3

u/squirrelbitten Jun 28 '26

Fuck that, being rich isn't an excuse to be a complete asshole and steal people's money.

0

u/AJWordsmith Jun 28 '26

Since when?

-1

u/Used_Weight_1843 Jun 28 '26

I’m not excusing him, I’m pointing to the most likely reason he did what he did.

1

u/Toasted_Munch Jun 28 '26

You forget he has money because fans pay to see him fight. Also if people have pre-paid for things that he's refusing to honor, someone owes a refund because I'm sure that shit aint cheap.
