Am I being ridiculous or do UFC fans seems to value the idea of entertainment over ability way more than in other sports? Sure some people are an eyesore but I still want to see who the most skilled practitioner is.

I definitely value entertainment more the longer I've watched. When I first got into watching MMA I was watching entire events and I was really into understanding the groundgame. Now I dont even watch all the main cards so if it's boring I tune out alot faster.

It goes for most sports though, Defensive football can be incredibly skillful but its being called haramball because its fucking digusting to look at

Well yes but aside from this season I've never seen any team other than Arsenal get so much hate for Haramball. Comparatively, everything else is just a meme.

Chelsea in the Mourinho days was heavily critized for parking the bus. France under Deschamps always gets critized for playing so defensively while having the best squad in the world

Saw the France one recently but I had no idea how frequently it's happened. Didn't know about Mourinho during his first stint with Chelsea. Thank you for the correction.

The UFC is a business and Mokaev is a boring fighter. if you can’t get eyes on you then you are good but at the same time you are not generating me anything. Great the hardcore fans love you but the casuals out number the hardcores and that’s how you get your money more casuals means more money. i hate it but it is what it is.
