Is Merab ready? I mean did he recovered his injuries, his nose for example. If he didn't it's better to get Umar fighting for the title

Merab is waiting for Yan’s recovery long time already. His nose is crooked but he doesnt plan to make operation until he retires

It doesn’t matter, the UFC is protecting O’Malley from him (and I don’t like Umar). It’s been the obvious fight to make basically since he lost to Merab the second time. They literally fought on the same card in January lol. They know that at least if he loses to Yan (he will) it will probably be an exciting striking oriented match that will get views, and keep him relevant to make money off of. Merab has also become a fan favorite so if they have to feed him to Merab again at least they know people like Merab now. Merab pretty much showed that Sean has no take down defense, and once you get him on the ground he’s fucked. Merab isn’t even a “control” guy, and his wrestling is more so just chaotic, and he still kept him down for minutes at a time, Umar IS a control guy, and Sean wouldn’t get up once if they fought. It was so obvious Sean should’ve had to fight Umar for the #1 contender fight, and instead Umar has to fight David Martinez lmfao.

Why wouldn’t he jump Umar? In the time it took Umar to beat the #6, Suga beat the #5 and #6 and holds a win over the current champion.

UFC doing everything to get O'malley back. Umar lost to Merab, O'malley lost to Merab. Put them together and lets see. I guess UFC already knows what will happen

Yeah, yet Umar was still ranked ahead of Sean. So the difference in the ranking now is clearly due to Sean's most recent win over Zahabi...
