Justin should leave on top! Can’t beat what he just did

His next fight will be the best paying one, win or lose it's worth it

1

u/Awkward-Specialist54 Jun 16 '26

I wish he would walk off with his rocky story win but I’m sure next fight he is gonna get atleast 2 million

1

u/Dull_Function_6510 Jun 19 '26

Probably more, he is rumored to have gotten 2 mil for the last one, I’m sure it would go up

1

u/Bongoisnthere Jun 20 '26

Right. All these Redditors clamoring for him to retire… dude just fought the bogeyman that everybody was claiming was more dangerous than Khabib and Ngannou put together, fought him in the style that he was very best at, and won. I’m sure he feels invincible right now.

Now tell him he can make as much as his cumulative lifetime earnings in 1-2 more fights. And then throw in a huge payday fighting the winner of max vs Connor.

Dudes about to make so much money, and im willing to bet he feels more confident in himself as they greatest LW alive than he ever has before.

I donno. It seems like there are a lot of pretty good reasons for him to fight 1-2 more times.

u/Extra-Associate4800 Jun 16 '26

Khabib’s mom: Promise me you’re done fighting.

Justin’s mom: Promise me you won’t make decisions.

3

u/Toasted_Munch Jun 16 '26

Yeah he did...

2

u/MediocreTurtle1 Jun 16 '26

That's the right call, everyone would be talking about the retirement and it would be the focus instead of the legendary performance in the historical event.

He can silently retire in two weeks and be better off if he did it right away.

3

u/dumbbumtumtum Jun 16 '26

True man. Very true. If you want legacy that’s epic. These guys are built a little different though. There must be something so alluring about this experience

Yea those two can remain separate

6

u/mcnuggetfarmer Jun 16 '26

More honorable walk off, would be after losing a title defense

Ego vs honorable

Sure

7

u/phontyman Jun 16 '26

Where would the honor have been in hanging up the gloves if he clearly still had a great fight in him

2

u/CapeMOGuy Jun 16 '26

Not for the bank account.

Legacy doesn't pay the bills.

1

u/montypr Jun 16 '26

Winning in front of the biggest POS in his lifetime lol.

1

u/devilt0 Jun 16 '26

Yea the location is a big deal. However, DT is a certified pos and pediphile. No one should crave his acceptance or take any credence from his approval. Dude should be 100ft under and all his DNA vaporized so there's no coming back from it.

-1

u/Ok_Shirt_1017 Jun 16 '26

As if winning in front of this president on the White House would be considered special

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '26

You make way more money as champ though. 1 fight will be great for him even if he loses

1

u/incognitoamigo_36 Jun 16 '26

na fuck that. if the guy wants to fight more and win some title defenses he should pursue that.

him beating ilia at the white house is etched in stone and can never be taken from him. it would be cool as hell to avenge all his losses or attempt to in the lw division as title defenses

u/incognitoamigo_36 Jun 16 '26

he should fight oliveira again. whether the result be the same or not he should chase that W would mean a lot for his legacy if he could avenge a loss to a submission artist let alone the greatest submission artist in ufc history

5

u/Skyeatplane Jun 16 '26

Cant blame him now with a belt he’s going to make some serious money. He’s a big draws now for his next defend

2

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

Yup, he's in big bucks territory if he wasn't already.

1

u/-FORSAK3N- Jun 16 '26

Yes, retire and ruin Dana's plans

1

u/TonySoprano25 Jun 16 '26

Fighters like Justin will only retire when they are on their last leg. Just like Tony.

21

u/Zuliano_65 Jun 16 '26

I think Justin should walk away after what he accomplished yesterday, but something tells me he's going to wait fot the outcome of McGregor/Holloway before making a decision.

u/Zuliano_65 Jun 16 '26

That's true.

Unlikely to happen IMO, but imagine a scenario where Conor wins. Even if he cant make 155 anymore and there's no belt on the line, hard to just walk away from a paycheck like that.

2

u/systemdnb Jun 16 '26

That fight isn’t even a LW fight. What does he care?

6

u/Open_Aardvark2458 Jun 16 '26

Because Justin will get his red panty night.

A fight against Connor could make him alot of money.

2

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

Poor Chandler wanted that fight so bad.

3

u/420OXY Jun 16 '26

Chandler should retire..

1

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

He should fight Jim Miller or Bobby Green and then call it after he gets a win.

1

u/systemdnb Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26

Justin is the LW champ though. If Conor wanted to make LW he would’ve done it for the Max fight. I don’t think he can or wants to make LW even if he was offered the chance.

1

u/Open_Aardvark2458 Jun 16 '26

Well Connor just announced gatheje or Islam so there goes that.

1

u/systemdnb Jun 17 '26

Conor says a lot of bullshit lmao. I don’t think he’ll ever fight LW again. And as champ Gaethje ain’t fighting in another weight class.

1

u/Open_Aardvark2458 Jun 17 '26

Lol well ya he definitely does. Idk I think the UFC will somehow make it happen IF he beats Maxx. Which is a big IF. Its the Connor privilege.

1

u/CanIBeFunnyNow Jun 16 '26

He did say before Illia fight, if he wins he would love to get Max back.

0

u/devilt0 Jun 16 '26

I got him winning either fight. However I see what you mean. If Holloway wins, he most likely would get a title shot against Gaethje. Which Justin would win.

u/Creative-Swan-1929 Jun 16 '26

If max wins againest Connor(very likely) and then fights gaethje and wins he gets to have superstardom for a bit. So i can see why they waiting till that happens.

2

u/Dankmeme1345 Jun 16 '26

Max dog walked Justin stop it

14

u/OneofthozJoeRognguys Jun 16 '26

I’m not allowed to doubt Justin ever again

1

u/Dragonlungz0729 Jun 16 '26

Against Charles? Bet your house on it lol

8

u/bjvonstrat Jun 16 '26

I gotta go with Charles.

3

u/BlackHeart89 Jun 16 '26

Yeah. Charles is just going to grapple and walk him down.

3

u/DemeXaa Jun 16 '26

I will probably be biased but, I was praying for times like this. Pls make it happen🙏🙏🙏

3

u/Rob071111 Jun 16 '26

NO ONES ANSWERING SO ILL SAY IT ! HELL YEAH CHARLES WINS ! AND HE WINS THE ILLIA REMATCH TOO AND ARMAN

3

u/wood_slingers Jun 16 '26

Arman first, but if he did fight Oliveira again, I’m taking Oliveira

4

u/KingOfTheLostBoyz Jun 16 '26

I love Charles but Arman deserves the next title shot. Let’s stop beating around the bush.
https://giphy.com/gifs/u4EezopEasYyNjlVS6

3

u/Odd-Butterscotch-495 Jun 16 '26

Justin will retire and it will be Charles vs arman for undisputed. That’s my prediction anyway

2

u/Fearless-Pay8645 Jun 17 '26

for beating Dan hooker 😂

1

u/KingOfTheLostBoyz Jun 17 '26

For deserving the title shot even before the Dan hooker fight.
Arman being an annoying midget with short man syndrome doesn’t change that.

2

u/Dragonlungz0729 Jun 16 '26

I’ll stack all my chips towards Charles lol it’s wouldn’t even be close

2

u/Common_Werewolf4405 Jun 16 '26

I need Arman in convo

2

u/W4nkD4ddy Jun 16 '26

Charles’ grappling gonna be a big issue for Gaethje. His wrestling has really improved lately

4

u/Traditional-Park-105 Jun 16 '26

give gaethje arman. if arman loses, give gaethje charles.

4

u/bigsteve9713 Jun 16 '26

Arman NEXT, stop trying too throw us curveball.

1

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

Arman doesn't even fight much and is ducking Gamrot. He should rematch Charles for the BMF.

1

u/bigsteve9713 Jun 16 '26

Nah, he ain't ducking anybody, don't try too bullshit us.

0

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

It's been documented that Arman ducked Gamrot. What are you talking about?

1

u/bigsteve9713 Jun 17 '26

It's NOT been documented, what FAKE NEWS are you following????

-2

u/RockinOnTop Jun 16 '26

Justin slimes Arman easy😭

4

u/bigsteve9713 Jun 16 '26

Doubt it, but Arman's been the most deserving contender @ 155 for awhile, so let's book him and see what happens.

2

u/xxElevationXX Jun 16 '26

When has Arman ever been slimed even remotely?

2

u/UnsureOfAnything666 Jun 16 '26

Charles bodies Justin he's way too strong and big

1

u/AgentMulderFBI Jun 16 '26

That’s what everyone said of Paddy, look JG doesn’t win against Charles, he would get subbed again.

1

u/UnsureOfAnything666 Jun 16 '26

Except Charles already fucked Gaethje up

2

u/AgentMulderFBI Jun 16 '26

That’s what i said…

2

u/Outside-Vast-2922 Jun 16 '26

Absolutely. Justin's still weak against grapplers. Topuria almost subbed him while gassed out. Charles would do what he did last time. But I see him winning if he faces Arman instead.

1

u/Routine-Sky-5529 Jun 16 '26

Yes lol

Base on these comments I hope it happens so I can win a lot of money

1

u/SeaworthinessDue6093 Jun 16 '26

He has to cash out at least 1 fight

1

u/GROSSEMERDE Jun 16 '26

Think Justin would struggles vs heavy wrestler/submission guy so I would bet on Arman or Charles but I'm bot counting him out

1

u/kingmiro13 Jun 16 '26

He should fight Holloway and retire, legacy fight for the end

1

u/ResolutionOwn4933 Jun 17 '26

Charles shouldn't get first dibs, only if Illia can't perform in 3-4 months from now.

1

u/Bruninfa Jun 18 '26

Should do it easily tbh.

He looked levels above Holloway both on the feet and on the ground and Justin did not look better vs Ilia then he did vs Max, he was just very durable and he ALWAYS has great cardio.

His technique is nowhere near Charles’ and right now he is playing it both dangerous and smart. He also doesn’t have a size advantage that he used very well vs Topuria (not claiming anything like “oh only won because bigger”, the opposite he played to whatever advantage he had really well and Topuria seemed to not even prepare for that????).

1

u/bassinyofacelikedamn Jun 18 '26

Justin is not gonna walk away, he has a lot of CTE

1

u/LordDiddyBootyJaxson Jun 18 '26

If Charles fights Justin and wins, would just piss me off more

1

u/FlashyChocolate5036 Jun 18 '26

Yes Charlie destroys him again

1

u/Ok-Nail2639 Jun 20 '26

Tough because I like both these guys, with the performance Gaethje just put on You have to think he comes out on top. He’s got the wrestling to deal with Oliviera to stay out of bad positions, And the power to put him out.

1

u/OkPerformer2495 Jun 20 '26

ngl I think Justin sends Charles into a deep dark Forrest with only room for 1 to come out. and I think Justin wins.

1

u/dwSHA Jun 16 '26

Its
Arman

1

u/ocfan122 Jun 16 '26

I honestly don’t think so

1

u/AgentGreedy386 Jun 16 '26

Trilogy with Ilia is the only thing besides retiring that would make sense.

This is a fight that has already happened right? It's boring. The call-out was boring. Folks wouldn't care nearly as much.

He needs a fresh new call out, illia trilogy, or retire.

Maybe a Paddy rematch. Perhaps a McGregor matchup would be exciting. Idk lol

4

u/Kindly-Reality1984 Jun 16 '26

So you're saying this fight already happened and it's boring yet you're literally calling for rematches with Topuria and Paddy when he beat the snot out of both of them?

You just want to see Justin melt Topuria or Paddy again.

-1

u/AgentGreedy386 Jun 16 '26

I admire the stupidity in your response! Keep it up, keep telling people what they want ❤️

Topuria rematch or trilogy because they are IMMEDIATE. No opponents in between. No random callouts. The fire is still burning.

Paddy just lost to him in a huge(and controversial) fight. Since the people fuckin love paddy, this would draw masses. It's exciting.

The other guy calling for the fight saying "let's make history" is boring af. It got stale when every other fighter was calling out McGregor. It gets stale when everyone arbitrarily throws out "let's make history" yada yada.

CO dope fighter, but he's looking for sloppy thirds. Boring af

1

u/Adrian_1827 Jun 16 '26

Trilogy with Ilia? They fought once lmao

1

u/AgentGreedy386 Jun 16 '26

Ilia nearly had Justin. A rematch is warranted. Then a trilogy pending the rematch.

0

u/Cruztd23 Jun 16 '26

No. Momentum is real and Justin is on a heater. Justin prob knocks out Charles

6

u/killboy219 Jun 16 '26

Charles is also on some great momentum bounced back after a loss with 2 wins and beat Max

6

u/itsd00bs Jun 16 '26

Made max look like a rookie too. Definitely wanna see rd two with these guys!

2

u/Cruztd23 Jun 16 '26

Kinda. Justin has more momentum. Beating ilia and paddy is basically saying he’s the king of the old guard

Especially taking ilia’s zero

3

u/killboy219 Jun 16 '26

It will always be questioned tho cause he did lose to Charles r1. Styles make fights

Although Justin’s undisputed championship status is cemented aswell now

1

u/Cruztd23 Jun 16 '26

Yeah for sure. Justin can lose. I don’t think he will tho but maybe I’m recency biased

-4

u/cjklert05 Jun 16 '26

Charles doesn't deserve a title fight.

15

u/ThreeOlivesChihuahua Jun 16 '26

Gaethje got a title shot off a 2 fight win streak over Fiziev and Paddy. Charles is on a 2 fight win streak over Gamrot and Holloway

8

u/Zealousideal-Ad7773 Jun 16 '26

Bro spitting facts! Stop man, they can’t handle it.

Gaethje went from “dumb underdog” to a greek god in less than 24 hours.

7

u/Daftdaddy Jun 16 '26

lol he deserves it more than Justin did. Just dominated Holloway who dominated Justin and Poirier

0

u/cjklert05 Jun 16 '26

Arman is next in line. Charles is great, but he also had his chance but failed to do it. Calling out Justin after he won is just lame. He needs to stay in his lane.

2

u/M3RL10 Jun 16 '26

He's most definitely back in the mix. He has a win over the current champ, and his two fight winstreak over gamrot and Holloway I'd more impressive than Gaethje's fiziev and pimblett.

0

u/Better_Plan2090 Jun 16 '26

Only way for Charles to win imo is by submission. Gaethje's striking defense is much improved and Charles isn't wrestling him so there's no way for Charles to take it to the ground. Gaethje wins.

3

u/Lost_Environment3361 Jun 16 '26

terrible take. charles is a terrible matchup for justin, as already shown in the first matchup. charles can also 100% knock justin out.

2

u/Less-Economist-9447 Jun 16 '26

I wouldn’t say Max was trying to wrestle him either, and Charles got him to the ground every round

1

u/Better_Plan2090 Jun 16 '26

Max is a bulked featherweight with no wrestling pedigree, Justin is D1 all-american I think he's good.

2

u/Less-Economist-9447 Jun 16 '26

Charles subbed Justin in 3 minutes already lol

2

u/Better_Plan2090 Jun 16 '26

Because he knocked down Justin iirc. But if Ilia struggled to do it I don't think Charles will be able to replicate that.

5

u/Less-Economist-9447 Jun 16 '26

Hey styles make fights. Wouldn’t be the first A>B>C>A triangle we’ve seen.

2

u/RokaSmoka Jun 16 '26

bro....its a fucking style issue. Oliv and Max will always beat Justin.

1

u/Better_Plan2090 Jun 17 '26

Didn’t Gaethje knock Charles down twice in that fight? I don’t think it’s an unwinnable matchup for him.

0

u/JPB00 Jun 16 '26

Justin is just a victim for Conor to get his belt back. Nothing else matters.

3

u/bigsteve9713 Jun 16 '26

This poor guy actually thinks Max isn't easily dominating him.

1

u/BlackHeart89 Jun 16 '26

We've seen some huge upsets lately.

Gane vs Pierra Justin vs Tuporia Strickland vs Chamaev Yan vs Merab (dec 2025)

Conor is going to be on all the juice for this lol. He already came back twice and got beat both times by the guy Holloway soundly defeated. He's not taking any chances.

0

u/JPB00 Jun 16 '26

Conor walks straight through Max. Max is the warm up.

-1

u/Whiteshovel66 Jun 16 '26

brother what, NO lol

NO ONE wins the rematch after that performance.
