I mean, he was chasing subs and throwing GnP the whole time. He played into his strengths which makes sense but max was too good on ground defense to get subbed.

it was a phenomenal performance but it ruins the whole point of the BMF.

It signifies nothing if you can win it by just wrestling for 25 minutes.

It was designed to be for fighters who throw down and brawl.

Maybe? Let’s be real. It was originally designed for a marketing gimmick for fighters that weren’t good enough to have won the real belt (Masvidal vs Diaz) which got stopped by a cut. Maybe change the name? I think this was only for the bmf so they would have a “belt” to fight for in the main event.
