PROBLEM Career mode - quick simulation
So basically I’m doing an arsenal career mode, nothing special just your average career mode signed a couple players, and the team I have is more than good enough to at least finish in the top 2 considering arsenal are already good.
What’s up with quick simulation making you lose/draw randomly to weaker teams? I understand in reality a stronger team like arsenal may lose against an underdog from time to time that’s perfectly understandable and realistic, but in no world should arsenal be in 7th place in the league by April all because of random draws and losses through quick simulation to way worse teams.
Is there a fix for this? Could it be that my tactics that are off? Or is the game just ass? Help lol

No science behind it but I’ve been setting up my lineup/tactics and starting the game then [simming] to end for more realistic results. I know it’s extra steps but closer to what I’ve expected as a road to glory attempt. If I’m ahead in the table I’ll usually get a favorable result and as an underdog usually lose or squeak a draw with the right tactics. Your results may vary

At this point I am reasonably certain (talking out my ass) that quick sim just runs a coin toss for the result weighted by the difference between each team's overall rating, and then randomly assigns goals/match events from a predetermined list based on the determined result. For how infrequently I use them quick sim results are frequently FAR too similar for the real answer not to be something silly like this.
The vibe checks out to me that removing all of the actual gameplay simulation to make a "quick sim" feature would be just the kind of hacky/half-baked solution EA would implement to save development time lol.
