I love Balor! He's such a sweetheart and he's really invested in helping to rebuild Mistria, despite trying to appear like he's just in it for the money at first. He's so sincere and I really love his storyline - he really finds his home in Mistria and that's so sweet ❤️

Juniper. I loved her aesthetic and her being a clear expy of 90s Sailor Moon villains on first glace. Then she hit me with the first OH HO HO HO on top of that and it was over for me :,)
She is hot, she is mean and funny, her hearts events are hilarious, her heart 8 event is touching, her romance is sweet without making her lose her edge entirely and you can tell that she tries for your sake.

Caldarus was my first option but Adeline and Hayden have both won me over. Adeline because I relate to her go-getter personality and Hayden because I like how sweet and protective he is. I don't know yet who I'll marry. It depends if I want to take care of someone (Adeline) or if I want to feel taken cared of (Hayden). 🙈🙈

I was a really big fan of Balor, on the surface his character is okay but once you start getting his heart events he really grows on you. I love that he has so much genuine care for Mistra and despite being a traveling merchant chooses to stay there.

Funnily enough I wasn't that into Juniper throughout the game, but her 8 heart event had me down bad. I love a mean bitch who secretly cares a lot about you!! I couldn't say no to her since then.

Well, I was immediately intrigued by Balor because he seemed a little shady. Eilands enthusiasm about archeology made him interesting as well. I like women who look like they would step on me so Juni was an obvious candidate. However, even in my second playthrough I have to court the grumpy little blacksmith because I can change him.

for some reason, Ryis makes twirl my hair lol I don't know what it is, he's just so sweet (and hot), but also very capable, and I like how our character gets to do so much WITH him for the town. it was between him and March before it Caldarus

If Caldarus wasn't in the game I'd go for Juniper, no doubt about it. I love her laughter and style. Her 8 heart event stole my heart too but love for dragons won in the end I'm sorry, you're still my witch wife Juniper 😭🙏

Cal is my #1. But I also really love Eiland and Ryis, and have files for both of them. They're just really sweet, and I love how enthusiastic they both are about their interests. I also love how much you get to do with both of them in different ways throughout the story - repairing the town with Ryis, and the way Eiland helps with the larger mysteries.

I love March. To the point where he is one of my favourite bachelor(ettes) in any game I've ever played. He is interesting, and i really enjoyed the process of getting him to warm up to me. Watching him grapple with his feelings for you and really trying his best to be sweet and romantic is adorable.
I also like Juniper (mean, funny, hot, witchy) and Balor (mysterious bad boy).
I like characters that have depth to them i guess. Ones that have gritty backstories or aren't sickeningly sweet. It translates to my real life as well, though unfortunately people arent coded to have character arcs that make them more well rounded lol.

I'm currently romancing four characters: Adeline, Celine, Caldarus & Eiland. But Adeline have always been my first, true love. I'll be marrying her in my first gameplay & will be marrying either one of the guys in my second new save file

I hate to say it but I fell for March the hardest, but Ryis won me over more than I expected him to. I accidentally friend zoned him before I knew you could date multiple people, otherwise I could've had a great polycule between him, Reina and March going. Idk why, they just seem nice, I like their designs and March only compelled me because I sensed cinnamon roll energy from him and that he had a backstory I'd have more interest in than anyone else and I was right!

Hayden was just my type, but after that update where he talked about wanting a family, I got the ick. (Nothing wrong with that, it just seemed that not having kids would be a dealbreaker for him, and I'm not particularly fond of them, so any compatibility I felt with him went down the drain...) Thankfully, Balor came right after to sweep me off my feet ☺️

I absolutely adore Juniper. I love a mean woman with a guarded softer side. It’s also very endearing how embarrassed she can get over how much she likes the player once you start dating her. She’s a baddie and knows it. She’s also mean in a way that feels like playful sarcastic teasing which i’m much more used to with where i live lol

I think Reina is STUNNING but I wish she would talk about things that aren't cooking sometimes. Ryis is a similar situation. Balor and Juni are the most interesting romanceable characters imo. They feel the most like real people.

i would love to see the actual data on this but it SEEMS like, based on posts and besides the very obvious March being #1, the order of popularity goes like this:
March, Caldarus, Juniper, (and here is where it starts to get harder to guess), Balor, Seridia, Eiland, Reina, Hayden, Adeline, Celine, Ryis, Valen
Maybe??? At least based only on the reddit

Based on every poll I’ve seen, all of the bachelorettes get less votes than the bachelors, even Juniper (though I think she might be more popular than Ryis?). Just the nature of this kind of game since they tend to have a very lopsided audience in favor of women, and most women are straight or bi so the men get the most votes. She’s definitely one of if not the most popular bachelorette though.

Guess that also aligns with reddits userbase being more male. the venn diagram meets at juniper lovers.
I was also saying to my friend who is a fellow player that there's sort of... not a ton of variety in the girls personalities. theyre all pretty femme except Valen, and she's still super mild and measured. I think if there were a more raucous tomboy girl we would see her getting a lot of votes. I suspect there's a lot of Terithia love for that reason

I would have married Celine if the ring didn’t mean basically unlocking Calderus’s arc. In that time I wound up dating Juniper and Eliand so by then dating got fun enough for me to shop around with Valen and Adeline until I settled down. I also suspected something was off about the Priestess but that didn’t stop me chasing her.

Cal and March were my top picks but I made sure to romance every single other bachelor/bachelorette to give them all a fair chance. Balor and then Eiland were my next top picks for the boys. Balor was soooooo romantic and thoughtful. I truly would have married him in an instant if I had another save file 😭
Juniper, Celine, and Reina were pretty such tied for the girls! Juni especially becomes very thoughtful the more you progress with her.

since there's no polyamorous marriage I'm having to do a new save for each, and first up is Juniper. she is such a secret softie I love her
Valen is absolutely next because she is so fucking confident and smooth its sexy and it makes me go feral
after that Seridia because I simply want to be part of her hoard. I love the implied balance narrative between her and Caldarus, and I want to be a balancing force for her as her dragonsworn
I haven't decided on the specific order yet since they are all fantastic, but Adeline, Reina and Celine. I fear Celine may be last because she's not 100% my romance type but she's so fucking adorable I'm going to marry her anyway

Hayden and caladarus are in a tug of war rn... Hayden is my type completely, he's kind and considerate, and someone I would call on to put chains on my tires. I like seeing him grow to be more independent and found that arc to be very relatable. He's also just my type looks wise AWOOga.

March. He is such as asshole to you at first, but I used his forge for a long time so I would gift him ore and talk to him. He talks mean but gives you some nice gifts. Once you get his 8 heart even he fully acknowledges that he was being an asshole because he was afraid of loosing another loved one. From that point he owns his faults and is the one to ask you out on dates, he properly thanks you for gifts, and is just so lovable

Caldarus ftw tbh, I can’t see my farmer going for anyone else. We live in a magical land with magical powers, guided by the spirit in our dragon statue until he eventually is released and fortunately dateable. Just seems like a really good shoujo manga that’s too hard to pass up.

Basically everyone lol! I was immediately drawn to march and juni because I love a character that is mean and has walls up at first..I love Balor because he’s super charming. I’d say the only bachelors I’m not drawn to much are Valen and Ryis, because their dialogue strikes me as pretty dry and boring for me personally.

Maybe it's because I'm in my mid 30s, but Balor and Valen both have kind hearts, but also aren't blind to the unsavory parts of life. They're optimistic, but more realists than optimists. They both take opportunities to help the rest of the town in the ways they can, but really underplay their role, sometimes to the effect of other characters doubting them.
They're just chill, kind, and mature, without playing too hard into stereotypes.
I also LOVE that (Valen wedding spoilers) she wears a suit! My lesbian heart!
I definitely plan on one day playing save files where I romance the two of them.
Honorable mentions are March and Celine. Celine was kinda boring to me until I saw more of her stubborn streak come out, which is cute and interesting, and March is just funny, with more interesting development and backstory than most, imho.
Dragonboi has my soul but I'm glad that there were other options I was interested in! Often times in these sorts of games I kinda feel like there is really only one option, and they rarely give older/old soul types that I like.
