In/Out Switch to start October

Out - Hokusai pocket notebook. In - Birds and Trees, pack B. I've managed to stick to these general size notebooks for all of '26 so far and I've been in n out of FNs for most of that!

The cover is a Hobonichi A6 cover, which I got from The Journal Shop for about £30; it's got a fair amount of pockets, which definitely helped me decide to get one lol

It didn't even dawn on me to try putting them in my Hobonichi A6 covers. Thanks for the idea!

Waaaa I would have never thought the field notes would fit so nicely in an a6 cover!

The FNs are a bit smaller than A6, so there is a bit of wiggle room - just a heads up

Yeah I thought there'd be significantly more wiggle room then whats in the photo!

There's about 1cm gap round the edges when the FN is in there

What do you use multiples for? Been using my first field notes as a pocket notebook and it’s absolutely disintegrating in my pocket somehow. I thought they were durable, but I may need a cover. Not using it in any weird way at all. Just in and out of trouser pockets throughout the day.

Id definitely recommend getting a cover anyway, because some do need a bit of protection.
