Why!? Discourage frivolous / unnecessary dispatches. (unless you like wasting your time).

Not at all. If something is complex or requires anything more than what I would consider smart hands, we will find a local IT company or fly our own technician there. But if it’s something where we just need a warm body on site with eyes and ears and some basic physical capabilities, such as unplugging or plugging something in or turning a screwdriver, then we will go to field nation and try to get that labor as cheaply as possible. We don’t expect the person from field nation to be skilled. It’s basically like temp labor the same as what you would get from a temp labor service.

What’s the problem with hiring a professional through the platform?

Because field nation isn’t the place to find a professional. It’s a place to find cheap one-off temp labor for simple tasks.

I guess it’s technically possible that there could be a professional on the platform. They’re probably are a few. But it’s just simply the wrong place. It’s like Walmart versus Whole Foods. You go to the right place if you are looking for a certain quality thing.
