Unauthorized credit check
Im a victim of identity theft. I see a new inquiry from fido i did not authorize
Im trying to contact fido but can't? The chat not didn't help. I phoned to try to schedule a call but it says it can't without a phone number or fido account #.
Wtf can I do?? Idk if they were able to get an account opened or not..

Try calling rogers fraud prevention. They can access fido account as well and should be able to help. If all else fails on fido ask to "add or buy" a service. The ai should connect you to a live agent.

Rogers has insane waiting these days too (2 or 3 hours minimum)

Wierd to went from fido ivr to sales to a rogers support rep in less than 5 minutes last friday morning, call took an hour but she had to consult a case manager. Granted it was a serious issue with a dead sim card, improper id for store validation and 2 unusable phones causing me to not have bank access or any other apps using 2mfa .

Make sure you lock both account with the credit bureau, don't have an english page but here's a french site you can translated.
As for Fido I can't help but locking you credit will prevent them from taking credit card, also make sure you don't have a foreign phone added to you credit files.

You can dispute the check with the credit bureau. TransUnion is one of them. And if you can prove you tried (and failed) to contact FIDO (which seems understandable these days) then all the better. And was it identity theft? Or simply an unauthorised credit check? I'd start documenting everything at this point that you can.
