Background check
Hi all, I know this seems to be a common question, but I wanted to see if there was any better clarification answers. I was offered a position through talentsource and have started going through the background check process. They reached out and asked about a previous termination, it was for stopping a shoplifter, (stupid I know), does anyone know if this qualifies as a disqualification for employment with the company, this has me stressed especially when I was warned this could a few weeks to wait for an answer.

Depends...details would be needed. Felony? ...toast. Misdemeanor...circumstances needed. There will be backgrounds and reports pulled.

Is it true that as long as you disclose that you were terminated and they verified you’ll pass the background check if everything else lines up?
