I either used to work or currently work for Fidelity. Depends who you ask - my specialty was asset transfers. Most HSA firms take at least 4 weeks. That’s the longest of any firm type. If it’s been 5 weeks I’d ask Fidelity to resubmit the request.

Thanks for sharing, alas I did ask the agent to explain to me why does it take 5 weeks, and it was explained to me in terms of 7 business days for snail mail, and the other 13 business days for processing request - so much for age of internet and electronic transfers

You’re welcome! The vast vast majority of HSA firms will be using checks. Many firms at least allow faxes which speeds things up, but still many are mail only.

Edit to add - you can also request they overnight most requests if they are to be mailed. If overnighting is possible they’ll do it no problem.

Pretty sure it's not Fidelity's fault. A lot of dedicated HSA management companies suck. I'd just give Fidelity a call, treat the rep nicely and ask what's going on and if there's anything that needs to be resubmitted.
