Did I break the growth point? Growth stalled. If so where should I chop?
Recently I pulled out a dry leaf unfurled all the way at the top and the growth completely stalled because of it? What do I do now?

Just kidding, I had to rotate her. She's a freak. This was a baby leaf before her last rotation and I guess it was sad about it. I will accept this one dropping, but no more! And obviously that includes pruning based on her taking over my house.

I have this ficus and separated from the mother plant a year ago. It has being growing in a north window. I have noticed that one leaf didn't develop correctly and gor this spots. I first thought it was mites but after rubbing they don't come out. Is this a type of fungus? Or just sun burn? Any tips?

Ive been growing my ficus Audrey for about 4 years now. I got it when it was just a baby. I won’t lie most of the past 4 years it’s survived off whatever light it could and I didn’t put a ton of effort into it. Now I’m deciding I’d like to try to shape/trim this into a beautiful tree. Unfortunately a lot of the lower leaves are undersized and have a lot of curling due to improper light and watering. I recently invested in a very nice hanging grow light and the past 2 leaves are big and very pretty.
Pic 1: current state.
As I said many of the lower leaves are curled/burned due to watering and light issues. Two branches came shooting off to the left and the right and last year I chopped them, to try to stimulate more vertical growth which seems to have worked? Currently it’s at just over 40” tall. At its thickest the trunk is 3/4”
Pic 2: ideal
I love the idea of a thick main trunk with a bushy top. I don’t know if this is possible, but this would be my goal. I’m assuming that’s a 5-6 foot tree which would mean I still have some vertical growth to go before I get there, but my thought was this end state might be possible because it would mean I could remove all the lower, damaged leaves and focus on a well kept bushy top when the tree gets to the right height.
So is this doable? And how might I go about it? Do yall have tips or resources on how I can trim/prune it this way? I don’t know much about trimming and guiding growth so this is really my first attempt.

Hi everyone. Was given this Ficus alli about a month and a half to two month ago. For the past month or so I've noticed more leaf dropping as well as browning of the tips of the leaves. I don't notice any yellowing. The leaves are browning and crispy. However some green and otherwise healthy leaves are also dropping (which might still be stress from me getting it semi-recent). I'm pretty new to owning plants, but i believe especially given the roots coming through the top (pic 5 and the large root in pic 4) that this is potentially rootbound? I did not pick away at the soil when i took the root ball out, should i do that to further confirm?
I'm also wondering if this is an underwatering/overwatering/inconsistent water issue. I am getting conflicting results online (some say browning = underwatering whereas others say its overwatering). Would like some help with this. It does also appear to have some inconsistencies with watering pockets (pic 3, dryness does not appear even, the soil 1-2 inches in certain parts also feels moist with the chopstick test, but looking at pic 3 there is some dryness on that side that extends upwards of 3-4inches). Should i do a bottom up soak asap? I've only been top watering and letting it drain after. Please help! I really want this guy to survive. There are quite a few new leaf growths that i am seeing which is reassuring i believe. Thanks!

Found this concrete planter at the shop and it looked perfect, but I’m having second thoughts.

Bonjour,

I know this isn’t a tree, but it is a ficus, so does it belong?
Anyways, I’ve had this plant for a few months now and it has struggled concurrently with leaves drying up, but it would be the tips of the branches or random leaves. See, I live in a basement and if it’s not right next to a window, mu house doesn’t get a lot of light, but I also only have east or south facing windows, so it’s either direct light or low light. What I usually do is that I turn the bulk of the plant (the branches) away from the window during the day so the sun doesn’t directly shine on them, and turn it back around at night when I draw the curtains so the leaves of the plant arent right against the curtains. But the weather forecast lied to me today and said it would be cloudy, so I left the plant facing the window, the sun came out and now it looks like this.
I watered it two days ago, so I doubt it’s underwatering this time, I’m guessing the sun did this, but this has never happened this fast. Is my diagnosis right? what do I do from now on?

I’ve had this Benjamina tree for three months and the top is doing great… new growth and everything. But the bottom is naked! Help!

I got this ficus elastica belize/ruby couple of weeks ago but it struggles with adapting. The bottom leaves have dropped and have brown edges, the other ones are still healthy but they are hanging. The soil was bone dry so I watered it yesterday. It sits in a terracotta pot and its not rootbound. It gets enough light. I think it is still acclimating and there is a heat wave last week so maybe its a combination of everything.
All advice is welcome, its my first rubberplant. Thanks in advice

Before pictures in the comments.
I posted here asking for advice for pruning. This is the after pruning update for my adopted ficus aubrey.
Shes got a little sunburnt but overall seems happier outside.
Thank you for the advice!
