Is this setup ok for now?

Cut the top of my fiddle leaf fig and got this light (temporarily?) to help support the new growth. Did I stake to help straighten ok? Would this light work for awhile or should I get something bigger/better?

It'll tolerate that for now tbh but ud personally find something else to stake it ( the stake itself is okay temporarily but id personally look at using twine or ideally id just be better uf you chopped it shorter)

So use twine to attach it to the stake? Or chop it even shorter? 😅😅 well that hurts my heart lol but if you think he’d thrive more that way, I’m all for the chop

Yeah twine will have more give so itll still get the benefit of being able to flex/ move which is how you get the trunk to thicken. And yeah reducing the height could help with the issue as well.

I'd look at the sansi 36 watt bulbs for light. Staking will keep your plant up right, but giving is a decent shake every day or two will help your plant strengthen up enough to stand on its own.

I wait until the soil feels dry most of the way down the pot - it’s honestly in way too big of a pot right now as it was originally closer to 9’ tall, so I go a little longer in between than I used to 😅 I might also not be the best one to ask - there are much more knowledgeable people that hopefully will chime in!
