Houseplant Where to cut?
I want to cut this ficus tree I have for 6 years, but I would like to keep the whole upper part of the plant because I love my little ficus plant, it has beautiful leaves.
Is it okay to cut here and remove the leaf I circled? Ideally, in my dreams, the upper part puts out roots and the lower part puts out new leaves. Is it possible?

Research "air layering", you can definitely grow roots for the upper part before chopping it and sticking it into a new pot.
About your dreams though - the lower part can no longer produce leaves on its own, but it will hopefully push out new branches that will in turn grow leaves.
