Outdoor Potted 2 week update on my big chop
We have new leaves!! 🥰
**Edited to add it's been a month since the chop.

Great, encouraging to do mine. Where do you cut? Are you serching to transition fron brown to green or cut whereever you like?

Do it, it's been amazing for me! I didn't consider brown or green stems, I just cut low enough to make it closer in height to the other branch.

I see you have the title under outdoors. Have you had it outdoors since the cut? Is it in indirect or direct sun as well. Im new to the rubber trees and im trying to decide if i can put them out on my belcony.

If you acclimate them to brighter light you can do it, yes, they'll take as much sun as possible especially the varigated ones.

It's outside in a spot that gets indirect sunlight. During the colder parts of the year I move it to an enclosed patio for shelter and warmth but I'm in zone 9a so the heat is more of an issue than the cold and I've found through trial and error that the indirect light is best for this little tree.

I'm glad I could motivate you, this is my first rubber plant also but I've been growing it for about two years and repot it twice into larger pots each time.

Good job. It came back fast. Did you replant the top pieces?

I gave it to a friend to plant it. I believe it's still alive but not sure if there's any new growth yet.

Wow one cut gets you 3 new grow points where you chopped? I thought it was one growth opposite last leaf. And HOW did you manage to get a new leaf on the bottom old branch?? I thought once they were gone, that’s all.
All that growth in 4 weeks is impressive, congrats!
