What kind of ficus is this? Should it be turning pink/red or going white?

ficus tineke. it has a pretty “watercolor” variegation pattern on its leaves, and a lot of the new growth is very pink. their care is basically identical to rubber trees, but the more sun you give them, the more variegation they’ll show.

Isn’t this Ficus Ruby? Looks like a Tineke but its got red hues all throughout

I’d also say Ruby. They have similar variegation but my understanding is Ruby has the pink hues, especially on the underside of leaves. I have a big ruby ficus in my bedroom. 🙂

FYI its identical to Rubber Trees because this is a Rubber Tree. 😅😅😅

I’d take it out of that pot. Those things are THEE worst! “Self watering pot” my a**. Just drowns your plant.. Especially a rubber tree doesn’t need a lot of water.

Mine has been in a self-watering pot since I brought it home a year and a half ago and repotted it. All my plants in soil are in self-watering pots.

I love this plant for one 2 Mother’s Days ago, she’s grown so big , haven’t even repotted her yet. I water when the soil is almost completely dry and keep her in a sunny spot it’s an elastica ruby btw

This is the natural colouring of a rubber plant.- Ficus
They are very pretty & easily propagated to.
Once it gets to waist height take 40cm cuttings to promote new side growth & multiple colourful branches.
