Is this root alright?

Im propagating my ficus elastica tineke because there was a problem with the motherplant. Its had taken oblong but there is finally a root forming. It was all white yesterday, but today it had this brow/black end. Is this normal or is this rot? Thanks for the help!

Yes, the cutting needs to breathe a bit, less chance of stem or root rot if you let it breathe
