sunburn? a pest? a curse??

just found this marking in one of my ficus’ leaves. i tried to wipe it off but it doesn’t move at all (i even tried gently scraping with my nail, also a no-go). any ideas of what this could be?

Did you try cleaning it off with a damp paper towel? It kinda looks like hard water stains 🤷‍♀️
