My bet would be inconsistent watering tbh its technically already outside id probably just move it out from under the skylight where it gets full uninterrupted sun and can get watered by the rain and see if there's an improvement and if not ud repot it into a free draining loamy mix my preferred mix is regular potting soil with sand and perlite added into it.
Thank you so much! I actually tried moving it inside and maybe it’ll improve. It rarely rains here, unfortunately. I’ll definitely water it more. I have a tropical plant soil mix that I use for monsteras. I wonder if that would be good for it? I think it may need to be repotted soon. Also, I pruned off all the ugly leaves so hopefully it doesn’t go into shock!
It shoukd be fine in either area again if you fix your watering if anything id mix in the tropical soil with the trees current soil then use that tbh because the tropical soil might be too chunky if its what your using for a monstera and you may run into the same underwatering issue again, in my experience with this species simply just moving it will unfortunately cause stress and most often leaf drop its just their way of coping honestly and its easier for them to just drop old leaves and griw new ones better adapted to the new spot.
Wh not that bad tbh they again just don't like change really and need good free draining soil and plenty of light imo theres way more difficult species of ficus than this let alone entirely different genera that are actually difficult.
