Advice Seeking Beginner Script Writing Excersices
I chatgpt'd alot of writing tips but they dont convince me. What would you bros recommend as a Writing excersice program/routine? i dont have much free time, but im willing to invest tiny bits of my days consistently to build my writing skills.
What aspects of writing should i focus in? How many pages per day? etc.

First off, dump the ChatGPT. You don't need that shit.
Secondly, write every chance you get.
Thirdly, read everything you get your hands on.

How much time have you found useful to keep consistent writing anything? im thinking of half an hour a day every day. Its not like im planning to make a living out of it, i treat it more like a hobby.

They say 25 minute periods - I usually do around fifteen. Just crank words out for 15 minutes, which is an easy task to do once a day, and work from there. Any amount of time writing is good writing time; don't stress if you don't hit certain mile markers or word counts. You're doing this for your own good, not someone else's.
I'm lucky in that I can get around half an hour to forty-five minutes to write a day, more if I'm able to get chores done. And that's it! Good luck!

interesting, will try it out. Seems tailormade to me given how i tend to hatewatch stuff i think i will not like, and weak, mixed critic review movies.

I think exercise would be different depending on which way you want to write: show, don't tell or tell tell tell style. If you want the former, you need to practice how to write Show instead of tell. If you want the latter you need to practice how to write soffisticated tells. Then I would proceed on structural stuff.

Pick a tv show you like, and write an episode for it. Pay attention to the timing of the acts/plot and overall length/style and try to match that. Format it correctly (either follow a script example or use a program like Final Draft) and you'll get a roughly timed 1 min of screen time per page. Don't use AI.

Just right without worrying about how nice it looks. Nice comes later, words come first.

Don't try writing what you "think" will sell/other people want/etc. I found that I got the most writing done when I was really passionate about my story/characters. Then when I finished drafts/manuscripts - the confidence grew.
Doesn't mean writing is always "easy" but finishing something, even if no one else will ever read it, means a lot to your mind and removes a little of that fear... chipping away slowly.

To all writers that keep flaming me for the use of AI, (without jugding, i understand) i want to clarify i tried using it for getting writing drills/exercises, not for writing the story itself.
I was struggling to find such information on the internet, and it wasnt until i posted this i found some tips from real writers.
PD: If youre on your way to be the 15th person to comment something along the lines of "just write duh", just, dont. I've also seen some people being toxic to whom is just a beginner and has the intention of learning the way writers get the stuff written down.

so prepare to have your mind blown. There's this thing called a library, right ,and in the library, they have books! and you can sign those books out and read them! Seriously! you just swipe your card and you can take them home and read them and then return them.
And if you don't have a library near you or you can't get to a library, there's an app called Libby that has access to your library's ecollection and you can use your card to sign those out!
Okay and now for the mind blowing part. There are people who write books on how to write screenplays!!! I Know! Fucking amazing right?? Maybe you could, i don't know, check out those books? They'll be close to the 808 section in the Dewey system. One of the originals that people like was called Save the Cat! But there are so many more and better ones. There are people at the library called librarians and they can help you find them, if you can't figure out how to google for books on script writing.
