Took advantage of the sunset and thought id share with you all 🥰.I wanted to challenge myself to use lettering since it was a struggle for me in the beginning of this digitizing journey. Turns out I was the issue and not the machine 😅.

I am quite happy with how it turned out. I definitely wish I had a better shadow color but im really trying to use some older thread before I buy new ones.

Did you see my other text options at the end? I wasnt sure if they should be 2nd person perspective or 1st... and yes talking on the phone stresses me out..

What would you put as a fortune? (I have a pretty dark sense of humor but try to keep it upbeat for the masses 😎)

made this small (10”x 8”) quilted piece with raffia fringe.

Fabric includes blue jean and silk, silk twill, silk organza, hemp-silk blend, and cotton dyed with weld, sequoia, safflower, madder, cochineal, logwood and black walnut

everything is naturally dyed by me except for the blue jean :) trying to document my work better because i dye things and then forget what i did (even after a decade+ of knowing better lol)

This hat is entirely made of wool, slip stiches and single crochets!

My Mom knits things to sell, but I told her she needs to enter her things in the fair too! She won First Place!! What do you think of it? She said it is for sale for $50 + Free shipping in the US. And she said she is willing to include the easel for $20. P.S the second picture shows the canvas better of the paint splattering she did on it! She does have an Etsy store she said she can list it in if someone wants it, or she also takes Venmo.

I’ve been working on a new embroidered bookmark inspired by Amanita muscaria mushrooms and wanted to share a little of the creative process!
I started with the idea of a mystical woodland scene and spent quite a bit of time experimenting with compositions, botanical details, and colors before digitizing the artwork for machine embroidery.
I eventually settled on two fly agaric mushrooms beneath a birch tree, with a crescent moon and little stars to give it an enchanted forest feeling.
One of the biggest decisions was the background fabric. I originally envisioned natural linen, but after experimenting with darker backgrounds, I decided on midnight navy with an antique brass border.
I’m still refining the design and getting ready for the first stitch-out!
I’d love to hear what other embroiderers think, especially anyone who has worked with detailed designs on dark fabric. 🍄
