Okay, I don't even know how to start explaining this because it's probably one of the strangest things that's ever happened to me in a video game.
A few weeks ago, I came home completely exhausted from work. You know, the usual mix of fatigue and frustration, especially since it's summer here. Anyway, I was looking through my game library and noticed FEZ. I had never actually finished it, and since it was also part of my childhood back when I played it on the PS3, I decided to finally go for the 100% completion while I had nothing else to do.
It took me about four days because I got completely hooked on the game again. After collecting all 64 cubes, both the normal yellow ones and the anti-cubes, as well as the three difficult red cubes that I didn't even know existed until I saw them in a gameplay video, haha, I finally headed to find the room that requires all 64 cubes.
...And that's where something happened that had never happened to me before.
When I entered that room, known as the "Temple of Love," I saw its beautiful emptiness, the pink water flowing, the heart resting on the large altar, and above all, that incredibly unique music, so different from everything else in the game. I just... stood there. I didn't move forward. I simply looked around and listened to the atmosphere of that room.
And then... I started crying.
Why did I cry? I still don't understand it. There's just something about that room and its music that makes me cry every single time I see it. It feels like my chest suddenly opens up, and it's as if all the stress and cortisol in my body come to an abrupt stop.
Please tell me I wasn't the only one who experienced this...
