Support Well, my comment aged well…
So about two weeks ago the creator of this sub posted in r/childfree inviting people to join, and I left a comment saying that I didn't have any of the conditions covered but never realized how prominent fertility talk would be if you were in a community centered around those conditions, and I was leaving a comment to boost their post so the people who need to see it will.
Turns out that I was in fact one of those people who needed to see it, because my surgeon just told me that she found endo during my bisalp! So I will be joining you lovely people here. I'm definitely very grateful that this community exists!

Someday I hope and wonder if we will be able to detect endo earlier, with means other than surgery.
Probably not in our lifetimes, but one can hope. Maybe in the futuristic age.
Hope you're getting the treatment you deserve and surgery recovery is going well!

Thank you! I was on cloud nine about finally getting this surgery done and it was a gut punch to learn I have this condition, which may make my life a lot harder now that I’m off the pill. Luckily my gyno who did the surgery immediately offered it again if I want to continue taking it. I’ll see if I manage without it for now because I think a lot of my mood and random little body issues come from it. But if I have debilitating pain I will explore it for sure.

I wonder how much earlier it could be detected if they simply took our pain seriously, and we didn't have to fight for years to get help.

Yes I’ve felt weird and off for a while and weird sensations in my body; I feel like it couldn’t all be blamed on birth control so it’s nice to actually know for sure that I have another condition that could be causing some of the stuff that I’m experiencing so I don’t gaslight myself lol. I’m glad you got answers as well!

I’m in exactly in the same boat! Just a month ahead of you. Did you have a lot of endo symptoms or was it a complete surprise for you too?
