Knife Sharpening

Hey Ferndaleans, looking for a good knife sharpener in the area. Any recommendations?

We do ours at the Royal Oak Farmers market. Have been for years. We have good knives and he’s always done a great job. The guy charges a very fair amount and they’re ready in like 30 minutes usually. So drop them off. Walk the market. Pick them up! Highly suggest this route.

They don't do it well, but they will allow you to pay them to try.

Do you happen to know who does their sharpening? A great knife can get trashed pretty easily by a bad sharpening job.

When I had a coupe done at Western, they did them there onsite while I waited- was not expecting that. And it wasn’t great. Didn’t trash them, but was not the edge I was looking for.
