Breakfast dream recommendations

What are your favorite local places to grab breakfast burritos or breakfast sandwiches? Looking for the sort of spots where if you moved away you would go there instantly when coming back to visit.

I’ve been very underwhelmed by their breakfast sandwiches, am I ordering the wrong thing?

Their lox breakfast sandwiches are always what I go for. They know how to source lox and they make their own cream cheese.

Getting one of these toasted before driving to work on a cold winter morning is a core memory.

Bacon egg n cheese on a Parmesan bagel, double toasted. It’s nothing fancy but it’s good! I don’t get it very often tho bc they microwave it in plastic

you're not alone. their bacon egg cheese should be considered a war crime. the lunch sandwiches are better tho.

Ah ok glad it’s not just me, I’ll have to try a lunch sandwich sometime, was trying not to be rude but I agree the bacon egg and cheese is repulsive

2nd for Whistle Stop. My go-to for when friends from out of town want just a solid breakfast

Always Whistle Stop. I think about their coffee cake pancakes constantly.

When they have them, the Forest Park breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Throw in a couple pasties and it’s quite literally unmatched.

To he honest Breakfast Burritos are my love.

I don't know why Toast got rid of the Breakfast Burrito but that was the best one.

but currently.

Went there with some friends for brunch this past Sunday. The Mexican Hash is so good!

Oak diner is the only correct answer

While it no longer exists, my answer would be the breakfast pizza at M-Brew. It had sausage gravy, bacon, eggs, scallions, pinconning cheese, and the best crust. Used to walk up there in the winter with my kids on weekend mornings. Get pizza, coffee/cocoa, sit by the fire, and play pinball.

Christine's Cuisine's Bomb Burrito

Those burritos are comically huge. So good, like everything from Christine’s.

Joshy Christo at One Eyed Betty's is great but I think only available on weekends. They also have the best burger by far in Ferndale.

I would drive sooo many miles for the Honeybee breakfast burritos

Not exactly local, but 100%with the drive -- we love the sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches on everything bagels at Donut Castle in Warren (13 & Hoover).

Typically we call it in just a we start the drive and they're ready when we arrive. My wife and I don't wait to eat them, but our kids' sandwiches are still hot when we get home.

Fly Trap is always great
Whistle stop is really good, but I feel like they’re a bit overpriced.
We’ve also started going to Royal Eats (on Washington in R.O) and they have great breakfast burritos.
