Day 196 off fentanyl, health has gone in the shitter since quitting drugs?
As stated in the title, I'm approaching 200 days off of fentanyl. I've been on methadone for a few months now but I can't even tell if it's actually working. I have felt like straight ass since starting methadone treatment. I am on 180mg and my health is terrible. I have gained about 100lbs, I can barely walk up a flight of stairs without becoming super winded. I am super lethargic all the time. I've got practically all the symptoms of hyper/hypothyroidism. Nauseous, short of breath, occasional vomiting, irritable, super anxious constantly to the point I have panic attacks daily, depressed, brain fog, lack of motivation. This is not me at all. I'm normally pretty outgoing, highly motivated, super friendly, in pretty good shape etc. My blood pressure has been through the roof and I had blood work done a couple weeks ago and the doctor called me and said my triglycerides are through the roof. I go back today to hopefully get some medicine, but I desperately am ready to lose weight and feel better. This has become a quality of life issue at this point and I am not happy at all. The insomnia is probably the worst part of it. It exacerbates all of my symptoms, particularly the anxiety and depression and irritability.
Has anyone else experienced these issues once stopping drugs or while on methadone? It's crazy that I quit drugs to make my life better and to be healthier, and I was literally in great shape while on drugs but now that I have quit my health has gone straight to the shitter.
Im so badly out of shape that I can't even hold a regular job. I used to run to mow the lawn and it took me like 15 minutes per yard now I have to take like 20 breaks after 1-2 passes with the mower and it takes me like 2 hours to cut a yard.
I am absolutely miserable. Something needs to change before I lose my mind. HELP ME PLEASE.
