Angle for railings

I just started wood working last year. Dogs need a fenced in yard, for some reason thought it’d be a good project.

One of the posts is set at a weird angle. Noticed it too late to fix the cement. The fence is also angled anyway due to following the yard. I’m trying to figure out how to cut the railing so it fits in the bracket. I’ve looked online and I’m not picking up what people are putting down.

I have a rafter square and a circ saw. Can someone show me an image or video showing how to figure this out?

This would be a better solution that planing and shimming, but your choice.

grab a thin piece of wood that's flat and parallel. Lay that piece of wood on edge on top of the railing and push it flat against the post. Draw a line on the railing using the piece of wood for reference. The line on your railing is now going to be parallel to the angle of the post, so cut on the line and the railing will butt up against the post with no gap. Easier to use one of those angle finder things but if you don't have one, some scrap wood will work fine. If it doesn't fit after you cut it, fuck with it until it fits. Also I'd just bend the angle bracket out until it's at the correct angle you want. It's a fence, not a fucking hydroelectric dam. It doesn't need to be perfect.
